Item: Small Black Coach Bag
Where purchased or how obtained: Ebay (sorry no link, purchased ages ago)
Comments: One of the first Coach bags I bought on ebay, years ago so there is no link to the item or even the seller sadly. I believe now this is a fake, but I wanted to make sure. 10 x 5 x 2. There is no white tag inside the pockets.

I want to give you a heads up that this listing is a scam. The seller took the photos from this listing

I own this bag, I have it in my possession. I don't know what she will send if you purchase this listing but it is not the bag in the pictures. I have contacted her several times and gives a bunch of excuses and says I don't know what I'm talking about.
@DoraT94 - where is the Etsy bag shipping from?? The Etsy seller has only had 2 sales - both apparently the same bag. The only item left in her shop now says its ships from Mexico. Just curious - as @coachowe suggested a scam.

Hum....Both "sold" Etsy bags surprisingly seem to have the identical number.
The Etsy listing for the bag said it ships from Mexico just like the painting. My bag, (the one in the pictures) I got on Ebay and it shipped from NJ.
Well, unless the Etsy seller has a way to send @DoraT94 your bag, @DoraT94 won't likely be getting the bag in the Etsy listing.

@DoraT94, the bag you get is VERY unlikely to be the bag in the Etsy listing you bought it from, since that was sold 2 months ago and Coachowe proved it.

Since you'll have to file a claim with Etsy - and I strongly recommend that to make sure Etsy can see she's a crook - I'm posting screenshots that I just took of both listings, yours from Etsy and Coachowe's from Ebay. Click on the thumbnails to open and enlarge. If you find you need larger images, please let me know.

I would definitely cancel immediately she does not think she is doing anything wrong. I sent her a message asking for the pictures of the actual bag and she responded saying that it was a mistake and didn't know how to delete it. Then things escalated from there. If you call her out she will get very rude.

It's definitely fake, sorry.

Picked this beautiful bag up at a thrift store, my concern is the creed, which is now very hard to read. I believe it is 017-9043, Made in the United States. All my research leads me to a vintage geometric bag.

I have read lots of conflicting “opinions” regarding the bullseye, can the experts here please clarify.

Measurements: 13 wide, 7 tall, 2 1/2 deep. Strap drop is 6.

thank you in advance,
Marie

Thank you @Hyacinth i have messaged the seller, and, surprise surprise, no response.
I have reiterated the same things we have said here and provided her with a link of the original listing. @coachowe she knows exactly what she is doing and is being deceitful.
i have contacted my card company and they have disputed since the charge was still pending and had not cleared.
i want to thank @coachowe, @Hyacinth, and @DL Harper for all your help. I don’t think Etsy will be of much help since they don’t have a direct line. So I assume Fatima will continue her scams.
better luck next time, lesson learned. :(

it's not a vintage Geometric Bag and 9043 isn't the style number. It's called a Club Satchel style 9885, and would have been made some time between 1989 and 1992 at the latest. It has no connection to any of the Geometric Bags.

From the 1989 Fall Preview catalog, click on the thumbnail to enlarge, it's the one at the lower left.

Outlet stamps can never be used as the single proof of authenticity. That's the most important thing to know about them.

You are welcome, I wish I would've seen your post before you bought it. But I'm glad I was able to help make your case with Etsy. Keep us updated.

Good afternoon

I bought this for my sisters birthday but when I opened it, it made me wonder about the authenticity of it. It feels like plastic inside. Could you please advise

Hi, please may I have the following authenticated please. Thank you so much

Item: not sure what the name is
Listing number: 304521390391
Seller and site where listed: schimvan0 and on eBay
Link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brown-vi...=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Comments:
Thank you again

There's no photo of the creed or serial number so it can't be authenticated. But I'm not comfortable with it. She's also a new seller who's never received or left any Feedback, which is strange. If you haven't commited to buy, I'd suggest waiting.

ETA - OK, found the Feedback, only as a buyer. But I still need to see a creed and serial number.

It's NOT from the 1970s. The creed wording and serial number put it somewhere between 1988 and 1992. It's recent enough that the buckles are PLATED, not solid brass, and the plating is already chipping off at lest one of them, note the close-up of one of the buckles. The creed stamp looks genuine, but I'd personally avoid that seller just on principle. Your Mileage May Vary.

And using Cashin's name in a listing posted at least 14 years AFTER she parted company with Coach is borderline deceptive in my book, JMO.
Although @Roro commented on fabulousfloral's history, I want to point out one of the reasons why we insist of seller IDs when making requests and when posting HOS fakes. All buyers should search the forum and/or google for the sellers' IDs.

Thank you both so much for your input and information. Cancelled the order with no problem. It's interesting how reading about the seller here and reading your answers soured the bag for me. Bullet dodged and I thank you both again.
