Was I wrong to report this listing as counterfeit to Mercari? It’s still up.

Never mind, they took it down! One less fake on Mercari…for now ‍♀️

Hello

I would appreciate some help with authenticating this Sonoma. I am confused by the serial number - I was expecting to see 4931 as I thought this was a Sonoma Small drawstring nubuc

FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
Item: Coach Women's Green Leather Sack Tote Duffle Bag Bucket Pull Tie Designer Rare
Listing number: 224942115514
Seller and site where listed Ebay, seller is elgroomio
Link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224942115514
Comments: The seller has sent me a photo of the creed:

Many thanks

The bag was made in 1993 or very early 1994, and still has the old-style serial number. The measurements convert to about 11 x 8 1/2 x 6 1/4 inches US, which is close to Coach's measurements for that style, so your identification is probably correct.

Read the six Coach Salearea Guides posted here for accurate information on creeds, serial numbers, and other Coach details:

Here's Coach's Fall 1994 catalog page, click on the thumbnail to enlarge:

Hi Authenticators!
Could someone please kindly help me to authenticate this black Coach Chunky Case??

Ive read through the threads and seems like the lack of creed on inside and direction of cotton striped lining on bottom of bag may still mean it's authentic.

I find the size and placement of coach embossed label on the outside suspect, it also is slightly crooked.
Not sure if this was an outlet / imperfect case if it is indeed authentic.

Placed next to a british tan chunky case I own for comparison.

Thank you!!!

Hello all! I would love your help figuring out what the name of this beautiful vintage coach ruff out courier is! I found it out in the wild and it has stumped a lot of people! So far nobody knows the name of this beauty!! I’m hoping someone here might? Please let me know! I’ve attached some photos of the bag below! It’s Definitely an original courier of some sort and all I know is it’s VERY rare! Haha!
Thank you so much,

sara

Hi Authenticators!
Could someone please kindly help me to authenticate this black Coach Chunky Case??

Ive read through the threads and seems like the lack of creed on inside and direction of cotton striped lining on bottom of bag may still mean it's authentic.

I find the size and placement of coach embossed label on the outside suspect, it also is slightly crooked.
Not sure if this was an outlet / imperfect case if it is indeed authentic.

Placed next to a british tan chunky case I own for comparison.

Thank you!!!

It's not giving me good vibes. I can't believe they would make that big of a mistake with the logo. The leather doesn't look great either, nor the stitching. I can't say it is definitely fake but I'm leaning that way.

This is the thread for authenticating bags you don't know are authentic, not the thread for IDing bags. I have it in my files as asymmetrical brief but that may not be the official name.

If you're looking for a second opinion, I'll give mine. I don't think it's authentic either.

Was the item purchased online? Is there a link and seller ID from which you purchased?

The placement of the Coach stamp is a big problem, but so is the condition of the leather. Those "stretch marks" usually mean that the leather has been over-stretched to make it softer and more flexible. Genuine Coach leathers don't need that kind of abuse, their leather selection and tanning processes used by their suppliers provides the softness and flexibility. The stretch marks are showing up where the leather wouldn't usually be stretched in daily use.

The stitching also looks very sloppy in the photos. I believe it's fake.

I hope you can get your money back if it was a recent purchase. Please supply the information about when and from where it was purchased.
