Hello,

Please authenticate the following bag which I purchased from Shopgoodwill.com last summer. I requested an authentication at that time however I could not obtain a picture of the date and model code. I think it is called the Crossgrain printed crossbody pouch. The measurements are H = 3.5" L= 6.5" D= 1.5".

Thank you.View attachment 5404525View attachment 5404526View attachment 5404527View attachment 5404529View attachment 5404530View attachment 5404531View attachment 5404532View attachment 5404533View attachment 5404534View attachment 5404536View attachment 5404537
I don't see any problems.

Other opinions are welcome.

Could my favorite people on TPF take a look? I have this in red and this color just grabbed me.

No red flags to me after I compared the photos to my bag in red--but, then, what do I know? Seriously!

ETA: Sorry, seller sent this creed photo.

So, there were 2 M plants operating in 1996 - One in the US, one in Costa Rica?

The M plant code was a"floater" as were several other codes, and was used by any plant where Coach decided it was needed. It was even used a few times in 2 different plants during the same months. Because it was sometimes only the code digit itself that was assigned and not the entire stamp that was temporarily transferred, the same code could also be stamped by 2 different mechanisms and use different fonts

This is one reason WHY we don't post lists of plant codes. There are more variations than people realize and we're NOT going to go into detail about them because too many inexperienced or over-confident people would just make mistakes. It would also make it a lot easier for crooks to make more accurate fakes, it's happened many times in the past.

ETA - And then there were the serial numbers where the 3 digits in the prefix got scrambled up at the plant, but that's a whole 'nuther problem and requires some very careful analysis of both creed and serial stampings AND comparing them to others with the same prefix digits but in correct order.

EATA - a word to the wise. There are several lists of "Coach plant codes" floating around on other websites and even on Facebook Groups where they claim to be posted by experts. DO NOT trust them and always have any Coaches authenticated here. Especially now when prices of vintage Coach bags are going crazy, there are going to be, or already ARE, self-appointed "experts" coming out of the woodwork and trying to impress others with their "knowledge". Just because someone claims to be an expert doesn't make them one. A real expert is someone who's recognised as one by other acknowledged experts, and not just because they happen to belong to the same Facebook Group or supposedly ride the same motorcycles or attended the same university. (Maybe they're just the same person!) :graucho:

Hyacinth, (and all the other authenticators on this forum), your depth of knowledge regarding vintage Coach never ceases to amaze me. Forever your student.
