notes: Was there an "s" plant in the united states in 1996? this creed confuses me - and also the numbers are a bit "fat" and the stamp indentation at the bottom looks a bit off to me too - so I feel uncertain regarding authenticity. I appreciate your thoughts and thank you for your expertise.

I don't authenticate bags made after approximately 2010.

But the seller has received half a dozen requests to show or even post the serial number and has ignored all of them. That to me would be a major red flag. Not only can't it be authenticated, but if a buyer has a problem AFTER the sale, how much help is that seller going to be?

We NEVER recommend buying something under those conditions, it doesn't matter how cheap it is.

Thank you so much for your input. I truly appreciate it!

I agree with Hyacinth that the seller isn't being too cooperative. If she wants to make a sale, you'd think that the least she could do would be to respond to your questions even if just to say that there's no serial number on the creed.

I believe that this bag may be one with a small white label buried deep at the bottom of (probably) the inner pocket and she may be unaware of its existence. You might request that she reach in, feel around, pull the pocket inside out and photograph it.

If you don't get a satisfactory reply, I'd try to find another seller AND let B&Lmommy know why she lost a sale.
Thanks for your input! I really appreciate you both taking the time. She's unresponsive, and I really don't need it, so...her loss!

Good evening authenticators. May I have this authenticated? I am trying to get a basic bag in every color. This color seems too light to be Burgundy, when I dunked a Burgundy it was so dark, I thought it was brown. And came out so nice. But this color seems almost a lighter orange? Thoughts on why color it could be? I wouldn’t possibly think Zinnia because that’s too early time-wise correct? I think that’s like 20 years too early. Idk maybe it is Burgundy. Anyways, thank you for your time and expertise.

It's fake. No there wasn't an S plant in the US. Your worries are justified.

It's authentic. I believe it is probably British tan. I'm not seeing burgundy at all. It was made late 70s or 80s. It's not a Bonnie Cashin.

As far as burgundy goes, it is really dark, especially if it is in good condition. As it gets worn, it gets a little lighter.

Zinnia was a 60s color.

Hey!
Quick question… this is one of the purses that was in a group I recently purchased. Was looking on eBay for one like it and came across one but the serial number is different. I’m just learning about Coach, is this common? The first two pics are the one I have #18441. Last two pics are from eBay # 18440.
Thanks!
