So far, it seems okay. One more picture is needed to confirm. Please check inside the interior pocket probably buried deep in the lower left corner for a small white tag with numbers/letters. You may have to turn the pocket inside out to find and photograph it.

It was in there, I never would have known it was there on my own. seriously, thank you!

It's fine.

Often when I request that tag, the person comes back to say it's not there. Sometimes it takes them a few times having to look for it before they find it.

So the bag has just arrived and it's in lovely condition apart from the damage to the strap which I assume could be fixed by a cobbler. It even has the anchors on the lobster clasps! Only thing is, I have no idea what colour it is meant to be as its about 7 different shades, from red through orange to tan! Pictures attached to hopefully identify the style

It could be the elusive rust color people on the vintage chat thread love. Or it could be red and just faded. Sometimes you have to dunk to find out the real color. Once I bought a lovely orange bag that turned to red once it was rehabbed. The leather was so dry it had faded.

Thank you so much!

I don't authenticate bags made after approximately 2010.

But the seller has received half a dozen requests to show or even post the serial number and has ignored all of them. That to me would be a major red flag. Not only can't it be authenticated, but if a buyer has a problem AFTER the sale, how much help is that seller going to be?

We NEVER recommend buying something under those conditions, it doesn't matter how cheap it is.

I agree with Hyacinth that the seller isn't being too cooperative. If she wants to make a sale, you'd think that the least she could do would be to respond to your questions even if just to say that there's no serial number on the creed.

I believe that this bag may be one with a small white label buried deep at the bottom of (probably) the inner pocket and she may be unaware of its existence. You might request that she reach in, feel around, pull the pocket inside out and photograph it.

If you don't get a satisfactory reply, I'd try to find another seller AND let B&Lmommy know why she lost a sale.
