Real? This seller has several Coach bags with nice low starting bids, but almost all the creed photos are blurry, or such a long shot they are hard to read. I am interested in a few, not this one though. Other than to know if it should be reported or not. Thanks.

I hope the reason you aren't interested in this listing is because you recognized the fake serial number.

Before I even opened the listing, I suspected that 3445 was the suffix of the comment invalid number, 012-3445. Opening the listing confirmed it. :D

report away!

ETA: Although I can't read the prefix on this listing, I do see 4160 as the "style number" and that's not the style of this fake either.

BTW, there's also a fake Dooney. Ugh!

Wow, thank you. Can you please explain exactly what "Made for factory bag" means and is this opposed to being handcrafted?
MFF means that it's a style that was specifically made for the Coach outlet stores. It's not available at full priced Coach stores or department stores although sometimes they might be sold at discounters like Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Norstrom Rack, etc.

The -4160 bag looks like a Lula's Legacy #9952 and MIGHT be genuine but with an incorrect style number. The serial prefix might be D6B-. The other listings BB mentioned are definitely fake.

The seller seems to be deliberately making it impossible to read the creeds and serial numbers.

There's NO WAY I would ever recommend buying from seller chubbiebunnie0802

can someone please authenticate?
listing number is 111692168380
vintage black oat bag
seller is linear_pcs
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bla...Tag-or-Creed-/111692168380?fromMakeTrack=true

Genuine. The seller doesn't give measurements but it looks like a Shoulder Pouch, style number 4025 from the Lightweight line and made in the late 1990s. Measurements should be about 11x10x5.

Debbie and Hyacinth,

Did either of you happen to notice that linear_pcs has a "Coach bean bag" listing?

O.k. will do. I couldn't make out the serial number. All the blurry creeds on so many of her listings made me suspicious. What instantly stood out to me on this bag was the shape of the leather tab that holds the male part of the turnlock.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Item: Coach brown leather handbag
Listing Number: 111689805848
Seller: mpls1988

There's no picture of a creed so I really have no idea where to start. I searched for the seller's ID in this thread with no results. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!
So far, it looks okay but a picture of the creed would help confirm.

This one stunned me. It raises "scary good fake" to new levels when talking about creeds.

That bag on its own is screaming FAKE. It's trying to copy a Station Bag but the Station has a single center seam on the base, NOT two seams, one at each end (we've seen other Stations before with those double bottom seams). If the bag was made in 1990 (which it had to have been to have a GENUINE Bean Bag creed) it would have had a serial number. (The strap and strap hardware are wrong but that could have been changed.)

THE Bean Bag creed is almost an EXACT match for a genuine one, it's as if the center section of the original Bean Bag stamp was actually used. The spacing around the Coach name in the cartouche is off by maybe a millimeter, and something's missing that should be there. But the rest of the creed is a perfect copy.

Real on the left, fake on the right, and the original key ring below that.. I'd love to hear everyone's opinions.

Could you please tell me if this is real

That's a horrible fake - is this currently for sale somewhere? If so, please post the information we ask for in Post number 1 of this thread, which we need when we authenticate Coach items. We need to know where it's being sold and by whom.

NO COACH PURSE WITH A FULL C OR COACH LOGO PATTERN ON THE OUTSIDE WILL EVER HAVE A C PATTERN OR LOGO LINING. There's nothing else right about it either, from the "leather" trim to the outside pattern placement to the creed with NO valid serial number to the printed rather than woven-in lining pattern to the run-together words in at least one line of the creed stamp to the sloppy stitching around the creed stamp to the Carriage emblem and fake base it's attached to.

If you own it, I hope you can get your money back.

I think the Coach bean bag listing is the same one that I asked to have authenticated.

No it's not, THIS is the one you asked about in your original post:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bla...d-/111692168380?fromMakeTrack=true&rmvSB=true

And this is your post:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-889527-472.html#post28712011

The one you asked about earlier has a drawstring and NO turnlock. It's the same SELLER but NOT the same bag.
