Comments: Hello could anyone help with this please? The creed and lining look good, but the zipper hanger and leather hangtag do not. Is it an uncommon design or fake? Thank you in advance!

It's a genuine Sonoma Pocket Zip Bag from 1997. The brass Coach tag top zipper pull is right for a Sonoma style, and as long as both halves of the hangtag show the Coach logo on the other side, they're probably right.

In my opinion, a COA isn't a worthwhile investment on an item like you case. The company I use is among the least expensive and most accurate but at $7.50, unless an item has a serious anomaly that makes it questionable or unless it's a highly faked luxury brand (LV, Chanel, Hermes, etc.), I don't think it's worth it.

More important is a detailed listing with a good title (appropriate key words, style number, name, etc.) and good, clear, well-focused pictures with closeups of the creed and serial number and a good description. For used items, describe and show pictures of areas of wear, discoloration and mention any odors.

ETA: If you ever do need a professional authentication, check here for recommendations. Some companies make a lot of mistakes, some companies use one or 2 "authenticators" to do multiple brands, thereby being a jack of all trades, master of none and some companies use artificial intelligence. I want a company that has brand specialists - different authenticators for different brands, each of whom knows that brand.
Alright. Thank you so much for the advice!! Much appreciated! :)

Hi,
Looks like the creed pic for bag #1 didn't load so here it is.
Thanks again!
All 3 are fine.

Great. thank you! I was a bit suspicious about #1 and 3# given you can see the outline of the stamp serial number
on the creed. I guess I thought Coach would have more attention to detail than that, though maybe it's just that I can see the creed so well in the pictures and I can't see it that well normally when looking in the store?

Vintage Coaches were hand-made, hand-sewn and hand-stamped. They weren't perfect. Don't judge bags made 20 or 30 years ago by the more mass-produced and often plastic-coated examples you find in the stores now.
