I believe I have found a fake Coach for sale and I’d sort of like to test my assessment (and seethe that so many fake are sold as real)! Can a dear Authenticator weigh in?

Seller: Virginia Sogas Frank
Venue: Facebook Marketplace
Link: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/282134363984739/
No number.

Thank you!
There should be a white label hidden somewhere inside the bag, possibly buried in the pocket. It has 2 rows of letters/numbers and we need to see a picture of it.
I asked to see a photo of the white tag and she says there is no white tag at all.
I don't believe that the seller looked hard enough for the label but if she's not willing to try to find it, I'd recommend another seller.

Especially on Facebook Marketplace, there's little (if any) protection so it's important to get as much information before your purchase.

I don’t know where to post this but I had a few questions. Did coach ever sell the following item? Are there creeds or something to determine it’s authentic?

is this an authentic compact pouch?

Item: seller doesn’t list the name/style of the bag
Listing number: lot 430 Coach Bag
Seller and site where listed: Thompson Auction Co. HiBid.com
Link: https://hibid.com/lot/111786849/coach-bag/?q=&ref=lot-list
They only uploaded 4 photos and one is just an up close version of the first.
Thank you!

It's authentic but not a Compact Pouch, which is square. It looks like a style 9755 Pocket Purse from the mid-1980s.

From a 1987 catalog:

We need more and better photos INCLUDING a creed and serial number set to determine if it's a genuine Coach. One photo isn't enough, see the list of required photos in the top post on every page.

However, the turnlock looks strange although that might just be due to the lighting. There's NO way I would ever recommend buying that bag with just one very bad photo, my gut feeling is that it wasn't made by Coach.

Hi everyone, I've been a long time lurker but this is my first post - lemme know if I missed any steps

Item: Large Station Bag type messenger? (never seen it before)
Listing number: 185124169879
Seller and site where listed: eBay (seller butchsbin)
Link

I've not seen this style & creed before but I love my station bag in British tan more than any other bag I own (which is A LOT) so I've FALLIN HARD for this. I'm willing to accept that it will need to be restored but definitely want to be sure I'm not falling for a very poor condition FAKE - can ya'll help please?

The Creed word spacing + "Made in NYC" + LEATHERWARE in coach logo had me thinking this would be a late 60s - Early 70s bag...but they don't have serial numbers right?!

There was a very small bag that looked like that. I don't remember but based on the size it is likely it doesn't have a creed. I believe it should have a made in tag sewn into the lining. We can often authenticate items like this if there are good pictures of all the details, including any tags, the lining, the hardware, and any unique details.

There is no need to post pictures if we can view them in the listing. This is a briefcase, not a purse. It is authentic, made in the 1980s. Sometimes some of the paperwork will have a date code. I believe it is a metropolitan brief bag #5180.

Late 60s/early 70s bags don't have creeds at all.

Hi, I bought this tabby bag in chalk from Amazon, the seller was American Closeouts
