Comments: Please authentic this bag when you get a chance. Thank you.

Genuine Willis made in 2003

@Sia’s Botique

I JUST WANT TO ADD - since it's been quietly bugging me. The shape of the flap looks strange. The creed stamp and serial number look genuine and match others in my files, but the shape of the flap looks too rounded on the bottom. I don't know if that's due to camera settings or if there's an actual problem. I personally wouldn't buy from anyone who only posted 2 photos. And when Poshmark is involved, it just makes me even more nervous. Just checked and it seems to be a long-time Posh member even if they don't have as deep a history as many others, but with all the reports of fraud we've heard over the last year, I just want to be extra careful. That seller really needs to post more photos.

If the bag has exactly the same creed and serial number stamping as what's shown in the listing you should be OK. It wouldn't be the first time that a Coach plant has made mistakes in cutting and sewing.

Did you see any indication of what city and state the seller ships from?

Wait for one of the experts in newer styles to authenticate it.

Please read the READ ME instructions at the top of each page. We require the listing number if it's an Ebay listing, the listing link or URL, and the seller's name or ID ESPECIALLY with anything on Poshmark since that site is a safe haven for fakes sellers and anything listed there needs to be authenticated because Poshmark almost never removes fakes.

You said "i looked up the # and this style came up so i think it is real * DON'T EVER BELIEVE THAT! Why wouldn't counterfeiters copy serial numbers from genuine items? The only thing that finding other examples of the same same style proves is that whoever made the bag, whether Coach or crooks, put the right style or serial number in it. If you buy highly faked brands like Coach based just on the serial numbers matching, you'll probably be making some VERY expensive mistakes.

And sometimes at least with older or vintage styles, having "COACH" stamped on any or all the hardware is actually a big red flag.

If you're getting this information from some "authenticity guide" somewhere on the internet, you're getting some really BAD information. Please ignore it and anything else from the same source.

i believe i got that info from youtube! i will ignore it. sorry i don’t know a listing number. the poshmark seller is angelhcloset. i don’t know anything about coach bags that’s why i came here, before purchasing i was going to use an authentication service but i didn’t even know if those were legitimate either so thank you for helping me. i’m sorry i just hope that it is real that’s why i said that :sad:

Comments: I purchase the bag but I not too sure about the authenticity as I notice the there is quiate a spacing on the style no at the creed which I'm skeptical about.

Is this the same Willis you asked about just a few posts before this one?

Thank you so much Hyacinth! I appreciate your help.

Did you read the comments I added

I can't find a Posh seller using "angelhcloset". The actual URL of the listing page is needed. Poshmark listings are still viewable even after they're sold.

I'm re-posting the URL of your original post here so @whateve or another authenticator can take a look at, it's already four pages back.

There's at least as much bad information on YouTube as there is on the rest of the internet. Anyone with a computer and a Google account ID can set up a YT Channel and call themselves an "expert". That DOESN'T make them one.

Please ask here if you need recommendations for legitimate accurate authentication services. For most brands including Coach, the free authentications you get here at tPF will be as accurate as any professional service. Don't spend money on a for-pay service if you don't have to, the only time you might need them is if you need an actual Certificate to use for a dispute with a selling site like Ebay or Poshmark.

The bag is authentic and the creed and spacing are correct for the Turkish plant where it was made in 1999.
Is this the same Willis you asked about just a few posts before this one?
@Hyacinth - She's asking about 2 different bags.

I answered the second one (made in Turkey) here:

The first is also authentic, made in the US in 1996.

ETA: Note that several pictures in the listing aren't the actual bag but apparently are examples the seller found on the internet. As long as the bag you receive is the one shown after the first stolen picture and before the last, it's fine.

hello! i purchased my first coach bag on poshmark and although it’s NWT, since i’ve never seen a coach bag before i was just wondering if you guys could authenticate it for me. i wouldn’t have a single doubt about it being authentic if the seller didn’t have so many of them.

let me know if you need better pics. it says coach on all of the hardware and it is fairly new, coach swinger signature jacquard and it came out in the spring.

it came in plastic wrap reading “coach” and then the bag, and inside of the bag there was the crossbody strap and dust bag.

*edit: i looked up the # and this style came up so i think it is real *

I've avoided answering because Poshmark is the LAST site I'd recommend.

The bag looks good.

That's one of the things that was confusing me since I can only see the first 3 photos in the listing "old browser, etc" and it looked like there were at least 2 different bags, one with brass hardware and one with nickle. Thanks for clarifying. :flowers:
