Please and thank you for any info on this bag. Authentic? Style number? What kind of strap did it have before it lost its strap? I got it at shopgoodwill.com. I'll have to look for the original link and add it to the post here. It measures about 10.5 inches across and 7.75 inches tall. 3" across the bottom. There's something super super appealing about this bag for me. I did some research but couldn't find a bag with a similar 2 pocket stitching on the back.
Authentic but I don't know the style.

The 2-pockets are actually on the front. It's a Companion Bag, style 9300 and made in the late 1980s. The original strap could have been either 36 inches (standard) or 44 inches (optional). Both were removable with trigger clips and probably would have been about 3/4 inch wide.

Dear authenticators, I bought this one on Ebay, link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/255264464882. seller debbiessecret.
When I tried to clean the brass hardware with bar keeper's friend, the brass coating came off and it became silver. Does that mean it's not authentic?

Thanks for your help.

Coach started using plated instead of solid brass hardware back in the 1980s, it does NOT mean it's fake. It's a genuine City Bag made in 1994.

Authentic and made in 1995. Please note that the strap has had at least one extra hole punched in the strap. it's clearly shown in at least one photo.

I can't tell if anything else has been done to the strap since there's NO photo of the strap end but the seller lists the strap drop as only 12 inches, which is much shorter than it should be. Coach lists the strap length as 48 inches which would mean about a 22-inch to 24-inch drop. You need to ask for exact strap measurements at its longest length and if the strap has been shortened.

Dear Awesome Authenticators, this doesn't look like any Coach bag I've ever seen. Could you kindly have a look? Many thanks for your time and extraordinary skill! :hugs:

Ebay Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224735056516?hash=item345340d284:g:YiwAAOSwk8dhs7lh

Seller: kiro9872

Listing number: 224735056516

Just one look at the gallery pic is enough. FAKE. The off-center fake "COACH"stamp is NEVER found on genuine bags. The top handle is a tacky mess, the strap hardware is wrong, the turnlock is wrong, the padded area above the turnlock is wrong, and I don't even need to look at the creed and serial number.

Please report this POS to Ebay.

ETA - Damn, serial NT-4903 has been a confirmed always-fake number for almost 15 bleedin' years. Can't these sellers even learn to use Google?
