Hi Authenticators!
Can you check this for me?
Item: classic shoulder pouch
Where purchased or how obtained: FB marketplace
Measurements: 10" x 8.5" x 4"
Strap: 1" width
Comments: I collect this style in different colors and I noticed the difference in strap. I saw this type of strap (no piping) on old United airlines stewardess bag but wondered this strap is also genuine? Looks to be in exact same shade.

The bag is genuine, from the early to mid 1980s. There's no way to tell if the strap was replaced by Coach or by a previous owner.

Just one photo would be fine, and I think the problem is with Coach's photo and not yours. I believe they must have photographed an early version with a permanent strap or at least some kind of strap attachment that was changed before full production. After all, it just makes a lot more sense to have a completely removable strap on a satchel style, doesn't it?

Some Sheridans actually had a strap with holes in the ends that would slip over a ball-and-post metal piece and looked permanent until you looked closely. They were a B!TCH to get off, maybe that's what the bag in the photo had, and after complaints from testers or buyers the design was changed. I've spent an hour or two swearing my arse off at those blasted "easy off" ball-and-post Sheridan straps. The lobster or trigger-type clips make a lot more sense, and probably saved more than a few expensive manicures.
Yes I much prefer the strap w the trigger snap. Ok here is a picture of the sides. Thanks!

Thank you! (That's actually a dog leash clip in the photo).

Trigger clips are more rounded and the part that you push to open the clip sticks out and looks like the trigger of a gun.

Sometimes those are referred to as lobster or lobster claw clips or clasps, but since my first love was jewelry, I think of a lobster claw clasp the way the term is used in jewelry (scroll about halfway down for a photo).

The lobster claw clasp's flattened oval shape (think Indianapolis Motor Speedway shape) is my fave since I have gripping problems from carpal tunnel and that type of clasp is easiest for me to use.

But there are a lot of different opinions on those terms, I'm just throwing in my two cents.

Oh, before I forget,

Have a great Turkey Day, everyone!
