Dear Authenticators,
I fell in love with Biltmore bag and i would like to know if both of these are authentic:
1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RA...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Hand...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

Thanks in advance!

It;s hard to be 100 percent sure about the first bag since the seller didn't include a photo of the creed patch and serial number and those are required for authentication. It SEEMS right, but we like to be sure. Also the first one is mis-identified as a 4417 Biltmore when it looks to me like the larger 4414 Madison Copley. Please note the damage in one of the bottom corners, the leather and binding seem to have a smallish cut right through them.

The second bag, the black one, IS a Madison Biltmore. It's about 1 inch smaller top to bottom and 2 inches smaller side to side than the larger Copley. The missing long strap is a problem, because of the way the strap attaches together through special tabs under the flap it's almost impossible to replace it with a standard strap with metal clips, note the photos. The leather tabs are only designed to hold the strap in place, I'm not sure if they could handle the full weight of the bag if you just attached a strap with clips to them. It's genuine and was made in 1996. The Copley if genuine would be from the same time period.

Here are Coach's catalog pages on the 2 styles, click on the thumbnails to enlarge:

I have some small bags emerging from the clown-coach-closet. Only one needs authentication and maybe IDing if possible. I looked through some of the catalogues in PDF form (what an easy way to look at them!!) and think it may be an early Compact Pouch, even though the dimensions differ. I paid most attention to the way the straps were attached and the inside pocket. 7 1/2 inches by 8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Long inside pocket--no zipper. Thank you in advance, as always.

ETA: mine for years--acquired from a garage or church sale.

It's authentic and it's a compact pouch. This style was made as early as the 70s. Yours was made in the late 80s or early 90s.

May I please get an authentication?

Comments: The first letter in the creed looked like a 'U' to me and emailed Goodwill, the first letter is a 'J'.

Thank you kindly!!
It's authentic. I wonder whose bright idea it was to photograph a brown purse on a brown background.

Hello,
I recently purchased this Coach legacy in mahogany & i wanted to get your input. I cannot find the item listing number. Purchased 10/3/2021.
The leather feels different to me & I haven’t attempted to dunk it for a good cleaning.
Do you think it’s authentic?

Thank you,
Claudia L

Is this one of the exceptions to the rule? I thought the first letter in that format only goes to M which stands for December. Thanks! Just trying to learn more.

That was a J, not U for the month code. (But I'm betting that's why the counterfeiters make some of their fakes with U0J prefixes. They misread the "J" as "U")

Would anyone be able to help me verify these please? Also any help with the colour of the first bag and the style of the second bag would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
