Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

ETA - I can just barely see the serial number, it SEEMS ok and from the early 1990s but I'd feel much better seeing a good photo.

Comments: I just received this bag and am not sure if it is authentic. It makes a squeaking sound when you rub the leather (it also smells like saddle soap so maybe that is the cause), it feels very heavy, and the raw side feels different than my other bags.

Hi Authenticators,

Is it okay to ask you to look at 2 hang tag? Something about looks off to me. Maybe because on the brown/tan one - the color is slightly different on one side. And the black one - one side is patterned almost.

They were in Marc Jacobs bag we picked up recently to clean. I flipped it inside out and the tags fell out. Wasn’t even a Coach…

Hangtags separated from their handbags are almost impossible to authenticate unless there are obvious problems. How hard is it to fake a hangtag? All a counterfeiter has to do is get the stamping details and the shape right.

Although I don't see any obvious problems, they're just questionable enough that I wouldn't sell them separately. You could keep them aside to give to someone buying a vintage Coach that's missing a hangtag while making it clear that you can't be completely sure they're authentic.
