Hi,
I bought this coach Willis on eBay. The straps were in the original picture and turned out to be way different (thinner, not adjustable) than my other Willis straps, although the color matches well.

I am annoyed at all the undisclosed pen marks that will never come out.

The bag is genuine, the strap and hangtag probably came from another bag.

I'm not going to lecture you about not buying Coaches that don't show any creed or serial photos or photos of the inside of the bag, but please remember this experience in the future. If you zoom in on the third photo you can just barely make out some of the pen marks, but that photo doesn't even come close to showing the extent of the damage.

But you may have a legitimate SNAD claim. There is serious and usually permanent damage to the bag from those pen marks even if they can't be seen from the outside until you open the flap and then they're no longer invisible. Not only did the seller not disclose them, but although she listed it as "pre-owned", Ebay's description of "pre-owned" clearly says

"Pre-owned
An item that has been used or worn previously. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections."

I'm reading that as requiring that sellers have to FULLY disclose any imperfections in the listing description or photos. Maybe @BeenBurned can clarify that.

The Willis is genuine but there's no way I would keep that bag in that condition.

The pen marks are UNDISCLOSED DAMAGE. On Ebay that can be a magical term--open a case, you will win and get your money back including shipping both ways.

I agree with @Hyacinth and @Roro about the undisclosed damage and SNAD. As for the strap, it doesn't even appear long enough for crossbody use, the purpose of the long strap! And not only does the seller not disclose that the strap won't work for crossbody use but she doesn't even show it so you might have thought to ask questions.

For $65, I think you certainly could get a bag in the same color and better condition.

You WILL win a "not as described" dispute if you open stating "lots of undisclosed ink marks and undisclosed that shoulder strap that isn't original to this style bag was substituted for the strap that originally came with the bag. This strap is too short for crossbody use and should have been disclosed."

Even if the seller was unaware of the strap having been swapped out, if she'd shown if and stated the drop length, you probably would have realized that it wouldn't work as intended. For a seller to have a full description of "vintage coach 9927 willis" is looking for trouble!

If the seller doesn't agree to the return and supply the prepaid shipping label, you can escalate and ask ebay to resolve. You WILL win.

In the seller's defense, she isn't an experienced handbag seller but this can serve as a learning experience for her.

The bag is a genuine Rambler's Legacy from 2001. The strap may have been repaired or replaced but the bag is still authentic.
