They are comparing the wallet to this picture of a "real" wallet on the bottom. Accusing the top one of being fake..
I found the original authentication link from July, 12th. So grateful for you amazing authenticators. For someone to compare a "new" crosshatch style Coach wallet with a glove tanned leather vintage Coach wallet is frustrating. Not even the same ball park of quality.

Don't they understand it is vintage? I doubt you will get through to them.

They are convinced that Coach wallets have Coach hardware only and the leather tag. They did know what a ykk zipper was. I was not sure if it was a joke or scam. I enouraged them to educated themselves on vintage Coach to prevent future issues and provided some resources. I finally had to end the discussion and walk away. If you aren't interested in educating yourself then you prevent yourself from learning and growing, and that is too bad.

Just to add what you already know but what apparently others don't.

You CAN'T compare Coach items that were made 20 years apart, which these were. The bottom wallet is probably from within the last 5 or 6 years and is more plastic than leather. Coach didn't start putting Coach-branded hardware on wallets until they started stamping a few pieces including large rectangular snaps around 2000 and then those big horseshoe buckles on Soho wallets in the early 2000s. NO wallets made before then had any stamped hardware. Early wallets with things like Coach zipper pulls are likely to be fakes, Coach didn't start using their names on zipper pulls until the last 10 years. The same holds true for vintage handbags.

YKK zippers don't prove ANYTHING, and fakes can also have YKK-branded zippers. Point them to my Signature that's under every one of my 31 thousand-plus posts here.

I suggest you find a different place to spend your time or money, the people who are clueless about Coach will probably stay that way. I hope they enjoy their closets full of fakes. Find people who are intelligent enough to admit that maybe they're wrong.
