That pretty much settles it. I've never seen a similar case or clutch without a Coach stamp somewhere on the front, or rarely on the base.

It's also a good example of our warning that an outlet stamp can never prove something is genuine.
Thanks @Hyacinth for the confirmation. And information from @whateve too. Seems to be another fake Coach on the market.
I have a skinny case that doesn't have any stamping on the exterior. It has a creed. There is an X on the creed. I believe I have seen several others.
Oh well. No sooner do I create a "Rule" when someone comes along and blows it out of the water. :giggle:
Is the consensus still that this one cannot be authenticated and is fake?
IMO it can't be authenticated but I wouldn't report it.
@DL Harper -- Sorry. I'm late to the party after being away (totally without TPF!!) for several days!

I didn't go back to quote all the posts and I'm late to the party but I think it might be okay. (I still haven't caught up on all my reading yet though so I'm not sure whether there may have been another post.)

@DL Harper - Please ask the seller to look at the BOTTOM of the pouch to see if there's a "Coach" imprint.

Full disclosure: I didn't have this knowledge on my own! I did some research and have benefitted from a couple of other sellers' listings to get info!

Here's the Coach's catalog description which DOES mention a pocket - image courtesy of Etsy seller VintageCoachLove. The listing also shows a creed without a serial number on the poc

And here's a picture of the same seller VintageCoachLove's bottom of the pouch with the Coach stamp:

This DIFFERENCE might be a concern. What do you think @Hyacinth and @whateve?

There IS a difference in the creeds though. ALthough both the Etsy listing and the listing in question are both US-made, "United" and "States" are on different lines in the Etsy listing but are on the same line in the listing in question.

Both pouches have the same zipper pull which is different from the stock photo and appears to be a legitimate change that Coach made.

ETA: Here's the listing I used for my comps (though I did see ProVintageGear's listing too but wanted to compare US to US):

So what is my purpose here other than to make things interesting on a Saturday night?? Right??
It appears I may have the same pouch that authentification was requested on. Taking into account wiggle room for measurements, I think mine is in the ballpark. When this little pouch is on it's side, it does have the same detailing as the red in the photo Hyacinth posted. The zipper speaks for itself. My photos above were pre dunk. While I dunked it and was giving it a little toothbrush scrub from every which way, I saw the baby Cartouche on the bottom. I completely missed that initially. I will post that in a moment.
LOL! I'm going back to continue reading and just saw this ----- AFTER I'd posted my opinion!

There's been a lot of conversation about this bag @BeenBurned. I did post the seller's photo of the bottom of the bag, but you may not have found it yet. s-l1600.jpg
The final answer @BeenBurned, @Hyacinth and @whateve regarding the authenticity is......??

Did you happen to happen to compare the description to the pictures? And did you check out the feedback (going way back
In this listing, the bag is described as "Very Good used condition" and "Inside has minor markings but is nice and clean with no structural damage."

While there may not be structural damage, inside (IMO) is NOT "nice and clean" and years worth of feedback show that the seller has a long history of not accurately or honestly describing the condition of items.

Picture #5 shows filthy lining!

Seller also has a history of not verifying authenticity and has had mixes of fakes and authentic items.
