Good evening
1998, correct? Can this be authenticated from these photos? The purse is not in my possession, but photos from seller. Thank you!
(2 outer pockets, 1 zippered inside 12x10x 4" deep)

There's one very small detail in the serial number that concerns me. Can you please take an "overhead" photo of the top handle showing the entire top, end to end? Also A photo of the back of the turnlock plate, the one on the back of the flap where the prongs hold the turnlock to the bag, and a full-length photo of the inside pocket showing both ends of the zipper AND the outer edges of that pocket on both sides of the zipper ends? Thank you,

I'd like the other authenticators to take a look at the "No" in the serial and compare it to other comps, thanks!
I saw that post and passed on it because I was uncomfortable with it but not yet ready to state an opinion. It looked "off" but wanted to wait for others' opinions and to see if they had the same questions as I. At the time, I didn't prepare side-by-sides but having done so, I don't believe the bag is authentic.

Interestingly, I had a lot of trouble finding 1998 B examples with the exception of one (shown below) but that one uses a different creed.

From what I'm seeing, the creed on the bag in question has many of the same characteristics as those of the fakes.

In question vs. authentic 1999 B plant:

I see a few other very minute differences too.

  • The "o" in No. is slightly larger on the bag in question.
  • The serial number characters are more squished together.
  • (IMO, this isn't a minute difference): The "N" in No. in all the authentic bags is sans serif. On the bag in question, it has serifs, as do the fakes in my records.
Yep. Thanks, BB!

@thanksperiuk
So it's Two Thumbs Down for the black "Willis". Definitely NOT a genuine Coach.

Thank you both @Hyacinth & @BeenBurned for your knowledge.

Apologies for the repost as well. I was looking forward to getting my hands on the Willis, but would like to get the “Seal of Approval” before proceeding.

I was almost certain it was genuine! Thank you for taking your time to point out each characteristic and provide comparisons. I learned a lot today and will take better care before purchasing online.

Hi authenticators,

Am interested in purchasing this Sonoma backpack. Attached images from the seller.

Thank you! Based on the year, would the color mostly like be Camel?

No. Camel would have had nickel hardware. It's British Tan.

As long as you get the same bag with the same creed and serial number as in the photos, it's a genuine Small Backpack Nubuc from 1996.
