Comments: Seller states this is Grey Nubuc - was that color & leather type available? It looks pretty rough and may a pretty big rehab project??? Or does it look so worn & rough because of the Nubuc finish? Is the black mark on the creed have any importance? Sorry for so many questions.
All are fine.

Thank you @BeenBurned for the confirmations!
2) Is the year 1999? Do you have a catalog for this bag?
3) Is Gray the official color? Is it Nubuc? Any idea what the black mark on the creed means?

2- Bleecker Tweed Satchel. The Salearea Guides explain how to read date codes.
Fall 1999 catalog:

3- Slate was the official color, Sonoma Flap Nubuc is the style name. The "FS"stamp means Final Sale. The Rehab thread would have cleaning and rehab information, I don't have any rehab experience.

Can you give this bag the OK? Thanks!

Item: Coach Court Bag

Seller and site where listed: jgurholt on Poshmark

Comments: What’s throwing me is the style number, second number looks like a 9 but could be a worn 8?

View attachment 5140892

Genuine, from 1999. The style number is 9870. I'm concerned about the piping or edging or binding shown on the left side of the back of the bag. The seller mentions worn edges, but it almost looks like that thin strip has been replaced with a non-Coach and less expensive piece of leather that isn't dyed all the way through, and the surface looks pretty rough compared to the other side.

Look at the pictures of the back on the left side and of the base showing both edges. The center of the strip is white, not black. I don't believe that piece is original to the bag.

I think it is fine. I have vintage pieces with the same white look at the edge. You can fix it by putting a bit of paint mixed with conditioner on your finger and running it along the edge.
