Comments: I believe the style is (or is supposed to be) the Multi Function Purse (7219). I thought it was authentic until I noticed the lining was this shiny, patent leather-like material that I haven't seen in other vintage Coach. The inside silver zipper also looks noticeably newer than the rusted golden / brass keyring. Is the wallet a fake?

(Please ignore the reddish brown tinge in my photos - consequence of bad lighting! The leather is jet-black in real life.)

That weird vinyl like material is normal in this style. Yours appears authentic. Sometimes the zipper pulls don't match the rest of an item.

The first one is genuine, from 1997

The second listing is what I would call deceptive. The trademarked name "Cashin Carry" is in the title and that brand name was registered to items designed by Bonnie Cashin and sold by Coach. That arrangement ended in 1974 when Cashin and Coach parted company and to use it for a handbag that wasn't even made until MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS LATER is extremely deceptive and attempting to give it a value it does NOT have. It's like selling a CZ as a natural diamond. Coach still owns the trademark and has even used it on some recent styles, but this isn't one of them.


When someone uses deceptive practices to sell their items, I refuse to authenticate them.
