I'd like to ask your opinion(s) about this Madison Carlyle 4001? I think that it is genuine but I am confused by the color. I'm guessing that it's granite but it looks light in some of the pictures, so perhaps it is faded? I've never seen a faded, vintage Madison bag but I suppose it could happen if it was left sitting in the sun for a long time.

I only have one granite Vintage Madison Italian product for comparion and it is a Continental Clutch/Wallet 4474. The color of that item was also confusing. I thought that it was Beechnut brown from the online pictures but I was surprised (and delighted!) to discover that it was granite when I received it - so it may be a difficult color to photograph and perhaps the flash makes it appear lighter, but the vendor describes it as "tan" so I don't know what to think.

Here's pictures of my granite Continental Clutch 4474 for comparison:

I am not interested in buying this Carlyle it but I am curious and would appreciate your expert opinions about authenticity and color, thank you in advance.

Item: Coach Rare Vintage Madison D5E-4401, crossbody, Tan

I think it could be granite but the pictures are very washed out. It's authentic. Here are a few pictures of granite items I've had.

Just an update, I agree that the Carlyle at https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-...D5E4401-crossbodyTan-604179927ec30c42f2ab459a is granite but I think that the vendor doesn't realize that granite is actually a gray coach color.

I asked her about the color and whether it was "gray or brown?" She responded "no gray" and she's posted additional pictures that show the bag in different lightings. She has also updated the listing to call it "granite" but still states that the bag is tan! But it sure doesn't match my definition of "tan"!

As I said, I only have one granite-colored vintage Madison item, the Continental Clutch, and it looks brownish in some lighting but gray in other lights; see pics at the link below that compare my granite Clutch to my beechnut (brown) Gracie in different lightings.

Anyway, I'm glad to know that the Carlyle is genuine (thanks @whateve!) and I'm convinced that it's granite (gray) colored. I hope that it goes to a good home. I'd love to buy it but I already have 2 vintage Carlyle bags (black and cherry red) so I sure don't need another one!

Hello awesome people! Can please get your help authenticating this item?

It was purchased on FB Marketplace. What throws me off is there’s no serial number on the badge, just a number on the small white tag.

Thank u so much in advance!!!
