Thank you so much, @whateve. I see what you mean about the color. I think I'll pass. Some day I'll learn to look at details like that.

Since it's an early 1996 style and serial number, my guess is that the color is "Sea" which shows as a light grayish-green color on the early 1996 catalag pages. Most of the time the color of the creed patch or pocket in vintage bags is going to be closest to the actual color because it hasn't had a chance to fade from sunlight or to darken from conditioning or use. Always pay attention to that area, it can tell you more than just the serial number. Also note that the description says "gray FAMILY,"not just gray.

Here's a Spring 1996 catalog page showing what's probably that color on a different Sonoma style, item D. Coach did have a Grey color for that line but it was darker:

She actually has not canceled my order even though I asked her to. She denied that it was fake, but the order status still says "awaiting shipment". I don't know what I should do at this point. Should I reach out to Poshmark before she ships it?

That's what I would do but BeenBurned might have more suggestions. Selling fakes is against federallaw and there's no doubt whatsoever that the bag is fake.

PM orders are considered permanent. If you made an offer, you can't cancel but you can open up a dispute after you receive it. If you didn't make an offer, you can cancel as an accidental purchase: https://support.poshmark.com/s/article/56140590?language=en_US

It's possible that if you reach out to Poshmark, they will cancel the sale for you. If she hasn't shipped by 7 days, you can cancel for nonshipment.

I'd like to ask your opinion(s) about this Madison Carlyle 4001? I think that it is genuine but I am confused by the color. I'm guessing that it's granite but it looks light in some of the pictures, so perhaps it is faded? I've never seen a faded, vintage Madison bag but I suppose it could happen if it was left sitting in the sun for a long time.

I only have one granite Vintage Madison Italian product for comparion and it is a Continental Clutch/Wallet 4474. The color of that item was also confusing. I thought that it was Beechnut brown from the online pictures but I was surprised (and delighted!) to discover that it was granite when I received it - so it may be a difficult color to photograph and perhaps the flash makes it appear lighter, but the vendor describes it as "tan" so I don't know what to think.

Here's pictures of my granite Continental Clutch 4474 for comparison:

I am not interested in buying this Carlyle it but I am curious and would appreciate your expert opinions about authenticity and color, thank you in advance.

I think it could be granite but the pictures are very washed out. It's authentic. Here are a few pictures of granite items I've had.

Please authenticate when possible:
Item: Coach Vintage Sonoma Pebbled Leather Flap Crossbody Bag
Listing #: 373482811452
Seller ID: anaiddetails
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373482811452?hash=item56f54f703c:g:XFsAAOSwVL5gP554
Comment: I know colors are difficult because of time, wear, etc, but could this be tan? Beige? Is there a catalog photo showing this bag? Made in 1995, correct?
As always, thanks so much for all you ladies do for us here!

My guess would be Buff since it's an early 1995 bag, and the 1995 Spring catalog below shows Buff as one of the few available colors for style 4903 for that season.
