ETA @Hyacinth ...it's not a mistake, it is 9136, it is my really bad photography

Yep, those shadows will get you every time!

In that case I'm going to revise my comment to "genuine" since it now matches another one in my files with an identical combination of fonts.

Dear authenticators, a request to authenticate please. Thank you!

I THINK it's genuine, but I wouldn't advise buying it to resell since if it's real, there's a mistake in the serial number. I'm seeing -9186 in the photos but the style number should be -9136.

There were quite a few variations and even some mistakes in those last days of the Dominican Republic plant. Hopefully this was one of them. The more of them I see, the more certain I am that there were as many mistakes and unusual serial fonts coming out of that plant as there were actual bags. :whut:

Hello! Could someone please authenticate this bag? Thanks in advance!

Item: Lunchbox
Seller: c.kim
Site where listed: Mercari
Link:https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m34419351646/

Comments: The bag is listed as red but it is much darker than any red bag I currently have. Is it just a shade variation or does it have a different name?

The bag is genuine, Lunch Box Zip from 1996. Coach's "red" designation has described a wide variety of red shades over the years. There have been quite a few posts and photos over the years in the Vintage Chat thread on the subject. The Fall 1996 catalog, like all the previous catalogs and all the following ones, just lists the color as "Red".

Hoping the next batch of photos are at least ok
Dear authenticators, a request to authenticate please. Thank you!

Item: Waverly tote (I think)
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: dimensions are 8" height, 9" width, 5" depth

Good evening! Can this be authenticated please? Also, what does the G13 prefix stand for? I though it was supposed to be a letter-number-letter before the style number, but I’ve seen this combo listed elsewhere in this thread. Thank you!

Genuine and made in 2001.

Serial numbers, creeds, codes and even occasional mistakes are covered as thoroughly as I was able to at the six Salearea Guides that are Pinned to the top of most of the Coach Shopping index pages. Many of the most commonly asked questions are answered there, and many invalid and innaccurate "rules" are blown to pieces and exceptions are mentioned, and also in the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List posted right after the Guides. I strongly suggest reading them both and all the rest of that thread where updates to those guides are also posted. The important thing to remember is to forget all the other "Rules" you've read on the internet because like the Signature under every one of my posts says, " Ignore any "Rules" you find in those useless online Authenticity Guides, they're almost ALL wrong - outdated, only true for a few styles, partly true only for a few years, or were never true in the first place, including the ridiculous YKK Zipper Rule..."

Rather than us having to constantly repeat the same advice and explanations over and over and over and over and OVER, we ask members to read the Guides and the Fakes List, preferably more than once because they can be complicated subjects. We're happy to answer questions about a point that maybe wasn't clear in the Guides, but for basic information please give the posters here a break and a few more minutes of lives that can be devoted to something besides the internet. We'd appreciate it, and anyone reading the Guides may learn some useful information. There's a lot there to absorb.

Thanks!

Dear authenticators, I just got a coach ergo purse, but I feel the creed is not right, although the serial number matches this model. Could you help me check if this is authentic?

You're correct. It's fake.

mvarta00 also sold this fake: https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-bucket-bag-60c73efb045e393ea47e35e9

and a fake wallet: https://poshmark.com/listing/COACH-WALLET-WITH-CHECK-BOOK-INSERT-608ed41d7f80d2122ddcd6fd

and this: https://poshmark.com/listing/VINTAGE-SMALL-HOBO-6060b37a69141256df60c36a

There are probably more fakes but I'm too lazy to look for more. I recommend extreme caution!
