Hi! can anybody authenticate this bag?
Is this bag listed (either current or completed) somewhere? Or where did you get it? Seller ID? Please see the post at the top of the top of the page for the pictures and info we need.

If there's a creed and made in tag, please post those pictures. I'd like to see a full picture of the lining and full interior.

(I'm not feeling the love!)

Hi, Would you please take a look at this. This is my bag. I think I purchased it at a consignment shop but cannot be sure.

Measurements are 12 x8 x3 with a strap about 44 inches long. Please let me know if you need more/better photos.
Thanks in advance. Also if it is real, I am curious about the odd markings above the numbers on the creed. I have noticed these on other bags, and would be interested to know more about them (sign of potential fake or something else).

Thanks in advance.

It's a genuine Classic Hobo probably made around 1989, style number 9855.

The marks above and below the numbers are what we call "overstamping marks" and in genuine Coaches are made by the stamping mechanism. But they've also been found in fakes although often not exactly the way they should be. They don't prove anything about authenticity.

No love from my end either. More pictures are definitely needed, as well as info on the seller.

Help! I know this isn’t 9085. Is it a 9035? Is it even real?

Red Coach bag maybe Ergo

seller: phess1951

Sorry—it’s on Poshmark.

Definitely fake. The serial number has more than one problem. And while the design looks like it's trying to copy the 9035 Ergo Shopper, it's still fake, there's at least one other detail that to me is a big red flag.

You, dear Hyacinth, are a treasure! If you lived closed, I’d have a candle light dinner in your honor!!

Thankyou!

I should add that in cases where the marks aren't what they should be (part of the top or bottom of the digit right before or after the one used in the serial number) they can help prove that a bag is fake. But they can never prove it's genuine.

And I came up with the word "overstamping" probably 12 or 15 years ago. There may be an official term for it but "overstamping" has become the unofficial forum term.
