Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

I have one more please for someone to look at. Also found at the thrift. It looks ok to me but feels like the leather is kinda light/thin. Serial reads E1269-19031. Thanks again!

It's fine. The newer China leathers were much thinner than the older vintage leathers. One of the New Willis Colorblocks from 2012.

That color transfer might be really hard to remove. Could be dye from a denim shirt or jacket.

Please wait for one of the authenticators who is both familiar with recent styles and who authenticates Poshmark items.

Unless one is very skilled in identifying authentic Coach items (as well as other brands), I don't recommend PM and generally, don't like to authenticate (and promote) items listed there because it gives tacit approval to the site.

However, I'll offer a (sort of) opinion on the 2 listings you've asked about.

I take issue with both sellers, bagsbeforebabie and fancy4lovers because both make unauthorized use of Coach's copyrighted stock photos. Neither seller's listing has enough of the right pictures to authenticate the bag. Neither listing shows a picture of the creed and both show minimal pictures of other parts of the bag.

(It's not just PM sellers with poorly listed items. I checked nearly every ebay listing for the same style bag and saw just 1 listing with a creed photo. Most ebay listings also used at least some stolen Coach pictures.)

Warning: The counterfeiters have gotten quite good at replicating the newer styles. Unless a seller shows lots of her own clear and definitive pictures and items can be confirmed as authentic, be very careful!

I can't even tell which is the black one or the navy one, and there is only one set of measurements. The one with the creed photo is OK, I'm guessing that's the bigger one.

If the smaller one has a creed we need to see photos of it.

Hi, frequent lurker here but no post. I have a question about this vintage Coach rambler bag I bought from eBay that I’ve had for a while. I only just noticed this. My zipper chain? is black (see attached images). Even though it has the YKK gold zip. Is this authentic? Why the sudden doubt is because compared to some eBay listings like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/164792737461 and the zip chain and zipper is gold and mine is black with gold zipper. Am I making sense? Last photo is from the eBay listing not mine for comparison. Thanks

ALL J8H (and J9H) bags are fake. The H plant wasn't in operation in 1998 or 1999..

Welcome.

Your bag is authentic, made in 2002. Coach used a nylon zipper in your bag.

Despite what you might have read online, zipper brand has NOTHING to do with authenticity. Coach uses and used multiple zipper brands. Additionally, because the counterfeiters also read bogus nonsense from online "authenticity" guides, they use both fake and authentic YKK zippers in their fakes.
