DAMMIT, I lost my first reply...

I was thinking about mentioning those Mosaic styles but decided that since they were called "Mosaic" in the style name and not "Patchwork" they could slip by on a technicality. Mighta known someone would mention them. :D

I had one of those 10409 Suede Mosaic bags - it was gorgeous. But I could never find a matching crossbody strap so that I could actually use it. :crybaby:
Not trying to make trouble! :graucho: I mentioned it because if you didn't know they were called mosaic, you might not be able to tell the difference.

I love my 10409! I only bought it because it was a bargain and then was surprised at how much I liked it. I like carrying larger bags on my shoulder as hobos.

I can't use my right shoulder for bags any more, there's already nerve and muscle damage there from 30 or 40 years of carrying heavy purses. But that's such a neat style, kind of a "70s Flashback" bag, but SOOOOOOO much nicer than those multicolor leather patchwork styles Coach introduced at almost the same time.. It would be fantastic with almost anything denim - sort of Upscale Hippie.

Very true. They had a solid-color leather or suede back too and not the fake Sig fabric that the phony Patchworks used.

Always keep in mind that with maybe 2 exceptions, there are no coach "rules" that cover every single style ever made. Always compare apples and apples, and they need to be the same variety of apple too. And often at the same stage of ripeness. ;)

Unbreakable Rules with NO exceptions:

Rule 2 - Any Coach Patchwork style bag or accessory should have the same patches on the back as on the front (sometimes reversed, and sometimes partly covered by a pocket, but always the same). Patchwork items never have Signature C backs.

(If I'm missing any let's hope someone reminds me) :graucho:

All other so-called Rules are covered by the statement in my Signature under all my posts. And of course, there's even more "stuff" in the Salearea Guide on Authenticity Guides.

I'm on my phone so I can't post a picture but another exception to the patchwork rule is the poppies for peace bags. Although there's a patchwork (appliqué) back, it's different from the front.

I REALLY don't know. They did a very similar style about 4 or 5 years ago but the charms were slightly different. If this one is genuine, maybe a remake for the outlets or the Asian market, I never noticed it or saved a photo of it.

Here's the "original" one, style 93079
Thank you. That's the one I knew about. I couldn't find this one anywhere. I didn't want to take a chance on it. Even if it was made for another market, usually someone on the forum or ebay would have it.

The seller also has this one that I don't recognize:

The hangtag looks wrong but I thought it might just be the angle.

I'm not comfortable with that either but I wouldn't report without better pics.

Had anyone seen this? I think this would have to be trademark infringement. Seller has 2 listings like this.
It is okay to sell paper catalogs but when they have been reproduced digitally, that is probably infringement. She has had them listed several times. I think she might avoid the tradesmark infringement rule because she is selling the "bracelet." She bought a CD from another seller and now she is making money selling it. (When she bought the CD, she said she was going to copy it for me but that never happened!)

Yes, of course the actual catalog would be fine. This is taking a name brand, reproducing it & selling it; over & over. Gosh, I wouldn't even feel right doing that.

The hangtag IS wrong. Those early metal and enamel fakes almost always have really BADLY MADE hangtags with incorrect, non-trademarked fonts, bad fonts on both the hangtag and on the C charm is a major red flag. And remember what I said about the enamel surfaces? Look at the hangtag - this one has more hills and valleys than the Rockies. The surfaces of the colored OR white enameled keychain hangtags from the mid-2000s should be completely smooth, see the close-up below. And below it are 2 photos of style 92018 which is the genuine version this cheap POS is copying.

It's absolutely fake.

Thank you! Now I'm inclined to think her other one I asked about is fake too.

But it's not a "Patchwork", it's an Applique. What Coach CALLS it makes all the difference, just like with the Mosaic bags. And neither the white leather or the Sig fabric Poppy Duffles like 6123 had matching backs, but they weren't called Patchworks.

ETA - Maybe the original comment should just say that both front and back sides should be Patchworks, without any mention of matching or reversed. Because, naturally, Coach has to mess with my head once again and make an exception. Style 9331 has Patchworks on both sides but the patches don't match:
