Please help to verify this Coach Hampton tote bag.
Got it from Facebook Maketplace but my friend said it's a remake, not original.

I'm not really sure what your friend means by a remake. If she means that there was an earlier bag called a Hampton Tote, that's possible, Coach re-used names over and over again for both similar and not-so-similar styles. A search of Ebay for "Hampton tote" brings up over 1000 listings of dozens of different styles described by their sellers as Hampton Totes. There were probably at least a dozen different styles OFFICIALLY called Hampton Totes of one sort or another, that doesn't mean that the more recent ones were remakes. A remake to me is when Coach brings back an older and maybe vintage style such as a Stewardess Bag and gives it the same name and sometimes the same style number as the originals from the 1980s.

This one you're asking about is a style made for the Factory Outlet stores. I don't have any information that would tell me whether or not it's a "remake" but the style number is consistent with the date code in the serial number so I don't think so. And it IS genuine, from 2007. The "official" name isn't in my files, and none of the ones being sold on Ebay still have their original tags so I can't find what it was actually called.

Welcome to TPF.

Posting direct links to your own listing is disallowed by TPF rules.

Because we (in the Coach subforum) appreciate sellers who want to avoid listing fakes and do their due diligence, we are willing to verify authenticity of items prior to the seller listing them. (And the law requires that sellers know items are authentic before listing so that's the time to authenticate.) A seller should never list an item without knowing that it's genuine.

In those cases, just post pictures - not a link to a listing.

With that said, I do have some comments on your listing.
1. Never list an item without including pictures of the elements necessary for buyers to know what they're getting and for authenticators to be able to evaluate the item (when asked).
2. Full creeds and serial numbers as well as any other labels, tags, props, etc. should be included in the listing
3. For any used or pre-owned items, clear pictures should be shown of any scuffs, stains, marks, scratches, etc. as well as if there are any out-of-the-ordinary odors
4. Another picture is necessary for authentication purposes. (See the first post at the top of the page.) "If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that." Since your bag doesn't have a "serial number" on the creed, that part of the requirements applies to your item.

Thank you very much for the information. Glad to know and learn.

For some reason when I try to upload pictures it says " The upload failed because the file could not be written to the server. The siteadministrator will need to resolve this before any files can be uploaded. " Maybe a just a computer glitch.
I will try back in a little bit.
