The bag is authentic.
Oh...My bad. I just feel the hardware is thinner than most coach purse, the rivet doesn't have concave, no YKK zipper and the leather is weirdly stiff. But I think it's because it's my first time get this type of purse. Would you mind telling me it's model number or it's name?
The hardware is thinner because it is solid brass. If they had made it thicker, it would have been too heavy. The rivet was likely replaced. The brand of zipper is irrelevant. Coach used many different brands over time. The leather is stiff because the bag is old and may not have been conditioned enough. It will benefit from rehabbing. In my experience, NYC leather is stiffer and a little thinner than 90s leather. It appears to be #9530 called small shoulder bag or shoulder bag with turnlock, depending on which catalog you look at. It was made in the 1980s.

This isn't related to authenticity, but I can't help but comment on the leather craft. I have this little bag in rust and mocha. If you look at the seam in the first pic, for the center seam of the bottom of the bag, there is a tiny little nip taken out of each piece of the leather. It was was intended to line the line the pieces up correctly when sewing them together. Needed to have everything line up exactly for these bags!
I remember that from my early sewing days using patterns.

Thanks for pointing that out! I'm a long time seamstress but it never occurred to me that was why they did that.

I only see it in my oldest bags, the NYC ones. I am just forever fascinated with all the people working to make these by hand, before the processes got computerized. I am in the midst of sorting through them all; I'll see if I can remember to take a pic or two.

Please don't EVER base an opinion on Coach authenticity on something as nonsensical (AND something that can be and HAS BEEN faked!) as a zipper brand, or on any other information found on the internet, unless you find it here at tPF in the Salearea Coach Guides posted here:

Please read them, better yet read the entire thread they're posted in.

Hi all! I would like authentication on this find, please:

Item: Classic Hobo
Obtained: thrift store find today
Dimensions: 12.5" width 8.5" height in the middle 4" depth (all approximate due to severe smashing of bag)
Comments: It looks just like my navy one, but mine is older, pre style number on creed. So I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance!

I was thrown by the original Rambler with the same. It turns out Coach would periodically reissue older styles like this one. The leather looks fabulous!

Good morning. It's early here but I got up early to look at...more snow!

Coach Aqua Green Vintage Rare XL Bucket Sac Shoulder Feed Crossbody Bag #9085

seller: senorluke
link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Aqua...Shoulder-Feed-Crossbody-Bag-9085/164709178287

item number: 164709178287

Can't put my hands on my authenticated aqua. Trying to decide if I want a project.
Don't waste your time, it's fake. The serial number fonts are completely wrong for the D plant.
Look at you, up early and snatching me back from the brink once again! Thank you @Hyacinth!
My goodness, Hyacinth, you ARE up early. It's earlier where you are and this is early for me! I'm trying to schedule our vaccines but the state website crashed! That's the ONLY reason I'm up!
