Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Ideally, I'd like to see a better (clearer) creed picture but I don't believe it's authentic. There are several problems.

Yes, it's genuine, from 1995. The white seam areas in vintage bags is where Coach sometimes shaved down the leather there to make ot easier to sew.

I clicked on Lisas Closet's listing of the red duffle sac and the listing is still showing, i.e., not removed. But when I clicked on her name to see if other listings were there and if she'd relisted the fake, her page "cannot be found." Does that mean Mercari suspended the seller?

It's authentic. I've never had a Beaumont and have never read anything about the leather being different. I love your buttery soft comparison, like melted butter on pancakes. You shouldn't have edited it. Coach leather lovers understand.

Never mind. Her listings are now coming up. Must have been a glitch.

I clicked on both links for her name and both are working fine, she's not "missing". And the bag is still listed, but still shown as "Sold".

Mercari isn't going to suspend anyone based on one buyer's comment. I doubt if they'll even remove the listing if you filed an actual "official" report using their Report link. Have they ever acted on reports from tPF members as far as you know? I don't think I've ever even tried, I'm probably registered with them but don't think I've ever bought anything from them.
