Both seems not good.. the creed says it was made in italy but the stitching and leather quality seems bad. The wallet also give me the red flag, but lets wait for the real authenticators to see it..

anyway, this forum has made me start to check any coach vintage listed around my neighborhood lol

Please allow the official authenticators to handle authenticity questions. Thank you for trying to help but it's not allowed under forum rules.

I am Very new to this type of forum. Sorry if I'm not in the right place? :/

Looking for help to authenticate a Coach purse and wallet that was my mother's.

Item: Coach Purse and Wallet
Where purchased or how obtained: She received it as a gift from her brother(from Florida)
Comments: I listed it on Ebay and they promptly removed it because I stated that I did not know if it is authentic!
.. I would not want to rip anyone off!! .. I know NOTHING about these name brands!!

Any help would be so GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

I'm sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but neither item is genuine. There are several serious red flags and Ebay was correct in 2 respects. First, you can't say you don't know if something's genuine. Items listed on Ebay MUST be genuine and the seller is responsible for making absolutely sure that they are before listing them, or they can't be listed. No disclaimers are allowed. Second, selling counterfeits or fakes of any kind on Ebay or anywhere else in the US is illegal, your Ebay account could have been suspended or even closed permanently.

Ebay has discussion forums in their Community section where brand name items of many highly counterfeited categories can be authenticated. You should post any other clothing, accessory or handbag items in the Fashion Forum there before listing them. OR you can authenticate them here at tPF if there's a forum for the brand.

Hi Authenticators! Please verify below.

item:Vintage Coach Leatherware Camel Tan Leather Shoulder/Cross Body Legacy Bag
Site seller: eBay fedexdad50

Item # 264932348238
Comment: not sure what this style is called and not sure either what the colour is..

It's not Camel, that color wasn't available in the early 1990s. It could be Bone. There's too much variation in the colors shown in the photos to be sure.

Hello..

First of all I want to say sorry because I can’t share any proper pictures because I didnt buy the bag yet and everything on that online shop is only by pre-order. So, my apologies if I only serve you with screenshots result of their review videos.

Im interest with coach tabby bag and one of the online shop in Indonesia sell it with super affordable price. Its around USD 120. They said they are selling a manufacture excess products / overproduction products that are not sell in stores. The products still goes through the QC process but not as much as store’s products. My question is “are Coach really sell a manufacture excess products?” and pls help me to authenticate the bag, is it original or not, only if these photos able to describe it. Thank you :)

Someone bought it before I had the chance to after posting it here. I had been looking at it since yesterday. I seriously hope if it was a lurker, the rehab doesn’t go well for you. Yea - Im petty lmao. Next time Ill just follow my rule of buying first & authenticating later...

I really regret that I said this. I was upset for missing out but that doesn’t justify leaving a snarky comment. Dear lurker (if it was a lurker), I apologize. Im better than that.

THEY'RE LYING. Don't even think of wasting your money! If you already ordered one of their counterfeits, get your money back.

Coach has their own Outlet stores all over the world
. They have more than 70 outlet stores just in the U.S. WHY would they need to sell "not quite perfect" items to anyone else? The ONLY stores that get Coach "seconds" or older unsold merchandise are in the US and the bags and other items are marked to let buyers know. The store you're asking about is selling illegal and poorly made counterfeits, THAT is why the quality does not seem as good as the bags from real Coach stores! And why the prices are so low.

There are some lurkers who actually deserve your snarky comments - and much worse. There are members of a few private websites and Facebook pages who "snipe" these forums looking for steals. They'll outbid you and sometimes contact a seller right after you've won an auction and offer them more money under the table to avoid selling fees. We've commented on these slimeballs and their male cult leader before.

I've posted before that if any of the regular long-time posters and tPF forum contributors (NO newbies or non-participating members, sorry!) is/are looking at a vintage Coach that's being sold at a bargain price or is a specially desirable or rare item and are buying it for personal use and not for resale, they can PM me for a private authentication as long as they allow me enough time to reply and they don't overdo it. It's not quite within the forum rules but since this "sniping" is being done deliberately to cheat tPF members, I think I'm justified in fighting back. I've also advised members here to NOT brag about any finds until they're actually in your possession.

ETA - This is something I do on my own, so please don't ask the other authenticators to make the same exception.

Can an authenticator please respond to my above post from yesterday... Thank you for your time..It's appreciated!

I answered your question three hours after you posted it.

Thanks @Hyacinth. I feel a little less guilty about how I reacted. I let the heat of the moment get to me & even if it was well deserved, I didn’t feel good about myself after saying it. I will definitely be better about how I handle the frustration of someone sniping me in the future. (As well as taking more preventive measures like buying first or waiting until I have the bag in hand- even if it is more risky).

I am grateful that you allow private authentication requests to the contributing members. It gave me peace of mind when you authenticated my bargain grey willis. Truly, thank you for that. :)
