This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

Thank you and be safe!

I'll add a couple of comments.

1. It's pretty hypocritical for Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries (and other Goodwill sites) to say, "Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries states that this item has been posted in accordance with shopgoodwill.com's policy prohibiting the sale of counterfeit items. If you have any questions or concerns about the authenticity of this item please contact seller directly prior to bidding" when probably every Goodwill site has listed fakes. And in order to contact them (as they suggest), one must sign up and give personal information in order to contact them. Personally, I don't do business with them and shouldn't have to expose my info to them just to let them know they are selling a fake or to request more pictures.

2. This applies to any time you make requests of a seller. Avoid any seller who ignores requests from potential buyers. Either they're hiding something or they just plain don't care and if they're unresponsive before they make the sale, you can be sure of a hard time if there's a problem after the sale.

3. Goodwill sells enough Coach to know that creeds are necessary to both prove authenticity of their items as well as to reassure buyers of what they're getting. Just stating what the serial number is is useless because a serial number can't prove an item as authentic. Fakes often have "legitimate" and seemingly correct serial numbers.

4. Many Goodwill sites use Entrupy as "proof" of authenticity of their items giving the impression they're complying with the law. The problem is that Entrupy has made hundreds (or maybe thousands) of mistakes and deemed fakes as authentic and probably authentic items as fake. IMO, Entrupy is USELESS.

If anyone has a relationship with Goodwill, feel free to refer them here!

Thank you! I had missed that someone else wondered about the green bag ... yes, we all think it's fake. I so appreciate you ladies!

Dear Authenticators,
Could you kindly have a look at this swing wallet, purchased on eBay? It's now in my possession. Also, do you happen to know if this item would have come with a hang tag originally? Thanks so much in advance!

I THINK it may be genuine, but I'd really like more opinions. The stamped Coach logo is very slightly different from the 2 photos in my files of style 4843, and One is Coach's photo and the other is one that we looked at last year, right around March 4th, the "official" Coach photo has a different zipper pull than the others on the inside pocket. I've never owned one of these and I don't know if they were ever faked, and if so, how close the fakes were.

There's no hangtag shown on any of the photos including the Holiday 1993 catalog photo.

I have a couple of concerns.

1. The Coach logo is different (as was noted by Hyacinth)
2. The size of the lowest pocket is much longer on the listing in question (and on the purple comp) than on my item and on the stock image.
3. I don't know if the pocket differences are leather vs. neo or if it's one of the cases where Coach changed the layout from the stock image.
Note that my comparison with with an item I owned but mine was from the Neo collection, not leather. However is IS/WAS a swing wallet.

ETA: Although this is unrelated to the listing in question, I want to add that in June, 2020, the seller had 2 fake Coaches removed. I don't have pictures but the creeds were wrong. One bag had an H8K serial prefix with US text on the creed and the other had an incorrect font for the 1999 D plant.

Additionally, the seller sold this fake, listed without the brand in the title or item specifics. Item specifics lists brand as "vintage" but description mentions Coach:

And another of the same fake with a K3H prefix (for $145!) :

Both of the above fakes that she sold show the same pictures except for the creeds.

One other concern I didn't mention since it's never proof of a fake on its own is the unusually sloppy stitching in the corner of the questionable wallet right by the Coach logo compared to your comp and to the purple one I posted. It shows up well in your comp photos so it might be worth mentioning.

I had this picture in my files of 2 of these with different zipper pulls. The black one in my picture looks a lot like the one in the listing.

Personally, I would cancel the purchase if you bought it. JMO.

I had this picture in my files of 2 of these with different zipper pulls. The black one in my picture looks a lot like the one in the listing.

Your black one looks like it has better and smaller stitching in the lower right corner though. It's hard to count but it looks like yours has maybe 9 stitches directly under the Coach logo but the questionable one has only 7, and the 2 or 3 stitches right around the curve of the corner are larger and uneven. The racecar going around the turn in your example made it through the corner with no problems, but the questionable one lost it in the turn and the nose was headed right for the wall on the left until the driver managed to straighten it out at the last nanosecond.

Hello Authenticators, could you please take a look at this for me:

Item: Regina bag
Purchased from ebay
Seller: kglamboutiques
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Co...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

The original listing didn't have a good picture of the creed and the serial wasn't showing but I've attached a picture of the creed below (I bought this before I knew that fake vintage coach bags were a thing! Now, I know a little better ;)).
Thank you so much in advance. All the time and knowledge you share is truly appreciated!!:smile:
