Could I please have this court I bid on authenticated?

seller: ca_fei5

Eta: ignore the willis in the link, I don’t know why Ebay does that
The court bag is authentic, made in 2002.

I don't think it's ebay that shows "Willis" in the title of the link. I think it's TPF's software that does that.
Thank you!

It's one of those "the listing you're looking for has ended..." redirects where Ebay substitutes something they think is similar (and they're always wrong!) and tPF is picking up the link of the replacement listing. That's why it's so important to double-check that the link that comes up actually matches the description and seller info in the poster's original question and why it's so important to make sure all that information is included in the authentication request.

What's odd about that one is that although the preview shows "Willis," the listing that comes up when you click is a court bag!

I'm late in replying but I wanted to add the seller's ID (which you forgot to post).

The seller is kayjaycee and what she did is quite sneaky. Luckily, you got an authentic bag but to show a creed from a different style bag (516) is even more misleading.

For the record, this is the listing:
Coach Vintage Tan Leather Turnlock 2-Pocket Fanny Pack Waist Belt Hip Bag Purse

@Hyacinth @whateve
Is the bag 507 or 516? What is the difference between the 2 styles.

Here's another listing for 516 with a leather zipper pull:

And here's one with the same zipper pull as the bag in question, but with a different strap:
507 was introduced in 1991. Possibly all 507 styles have an all numeric creed. Here is another one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Vint...895539?hash=item342fb820b3:g:jiwAAOSwdJlfS8zM
I don't have 516 in my files but the two examples you have shown were made in 1994. It is possible they changed a few things so changed the style number. I can't explain why one has rings for a strap and the other one doesn't (at least it doesn't appear to.)

Early versions of the 516 didn't have any rings for a shoulder strap and there's no mention of one in the catalog listing in the Fall 1993 book. The only difference in the descriptions between the two are that the 516 has added "weather-resistant travel leather" to the description while the 507 description from the Holiday 1991 book doesn't mention any specific leather at all. Otherwise they sound identical. I can't find either of them in any catalogs newer than the Fall 1993 book, and I checked from the 1993 Holiday Preview book to the big 1996-97 Source Book. They just fell off the face of the earth.

Here's the 507 from Holiday 1991:

Thank you.

This must be another example of Coach's inconsistency - or rather, consistency -- consistently inconconsistent.

Looking more closely at the bag sold by monalisa_posh at PM that has the thin shoulder strap, it looks like the strap and d-rings may have been added afterwards. The pics don't enlarge, but the zipper ends extend all the way to the base of the leather tabs holding the D rings. That doesn't seem practical. It also looks like the horizontal row of stitches holding those leather tabs are larger and thicker than normal, very UN-Coach-like. I don't think they're Coach's original stitches.

When there's also a shoulder strap and the waist strap isn't being used on any fanny pack I've ever owned with both kinds of straps, there's always a way of shortening it enough so that it lays flat against the back of the bag, or has some kind of pocket it fits into, but looking at the photo of the back of the bag there's just no way to fold that long waist strap flat or get it out of the way. There's always going to be a part of the belt hanging down, see the double photo of the bag both ways on the manni. AND that's a pretty thin shoulder strap considering the size of the bag especially with the extra weight of the belt.

I'm pretty sure it's been modified, and the more I look at it, I don't think it works very well either.

I did notice the thin spaghetti strap but didn't consider that it was added as a modification. I just assumed it was a variation that Coach decided was a good idea.

If it's a modification, that seller sells enough Coach to know to disclose it!

The modification itself is done fairly well, probably by a professional. But the final version just doesn't look right. Good idea, less-than-good result.

Hello and happy almost New Year!

Would appreciate an authentication on this, pretty sure it is a Waverly Tote
Purchased at local Goodwill, in really nice condition.
