OK, I'm officially stumped.

The creed and serial look genuine, but I'd like to see a full view of the inside pocket, especially the top edge, if it can be pulled out for a photo. I've looked in every paper and digital catalog I own and I can't find it to identify it.

The creed and serial seem to date it to some time between 1988 and 1990, and it looks like a Lightweight. The Made in USA also points that way. It might have been a very short-lived style and never made it into any of my catalogs from that time.

Can anyone here identify it? Anyone? Bueller?

Good morning!!!
Item: vintage Bonnie Cahin hobo
Seller: hopengracestore
Site: ebay

Comments: I'm fascinated, I've never seen anything like it!!! Can you tell if it's authentic and what the name is??? Thank you so much
I laughed at the title with "Bunnie Cashin" in this listing and another.

The bag you asked about is an authentic Coach bag (don't know the style) but it's not Bonnie (or Bunnie)!

My records show that the seller had several fakes in the past and I also question this current listing. I don't believe it's authentic:
It was made around 1993, part of the Manhattan Lightweights series. Bonnie Cashin had nothing to do with it. It looks like a Matinee Bag #4126.

I hope these photos are helpful. The light is terrible and I am the worst photographer even thought I really do try. The inner zippered pocket is the entire area of the back wall, goes all the way to bottom and sides. Please let me know if you need more photos or if I need to retake these photos. Thank you for your time and knowledge! ETA the leather is thinner than the ones I am used to, it is beautiful and seriously buttery soft and squeezable! ETA four more photos added.BT saddle 538 lX.jpgBT saddle Vlll.jpgBT saddle 538 Vll.jpgBT saddle 538 Vl.jpgBT saddle 16h54 lV.jpgBT saddle 16h54 lll.jpgBT saddle 16h54 ll.jpgBT saddle 16h54 l.jpg

I haven't seen it either. The closest is the Lightweights shoulder bag without the drawstring.

Thank you Hyacinth!

Thanks! No, we don't need any more pics unless Whateve has a detail she'd like to look at more closely. I thought that maybe some enterprising scammer may have cut a pocket and creed out of a genuine bag and sewn it into a high quality generic bag, but that obviously didn't happen here. I think you may be the proud owner of our latest Coach Mystery Bag. Congratulations!

ETA - you could try posting a link to your question at the Vintage Coach thread and ask the other posters to take a look, it would save you the trouble of posting your pics again. Let's see if I can C&P the link without the forum shortening it...

Not sure if that will work, but they should be able to find their way here with no problem.

Wow! Thank you Hyacinth! I forgot to specify that the inner zippered pocket does not pull out. It is integral to the bag. I will gladly accept being the latest Mystery Coach Bag owner!

Thank you Hyacinth! I am not sure if I follow the Vintage Coach thread. I follow the Vintage Coach photos and chat and the rehab and rescue.

It's definitely genuine Coach then. Yes, the Vintage Photos and Chat is the thread I meant.

As another proud owner of a Mystery Bag (a Dakota that I will forever call a Sundance Bag) I anoint you with CPR and name you an official Mystery Bag Princess!

As another proud owner of a Mystery Bag (a Sheridan that I will forever call a Sundance Bag) I anoint you with CPR and name you an official Mystery Bag Princess!

I will proudly carry the name and all the associated duties of official Mystery Bag Princess! Thank you so much Hyacinth for your time and sharing your knowledge! I'd love to see your mystery Sheridan / Sundance....btw....why Sundance?)

I corrected the Sheridan to Dakota since that's what it is, just one of those Senior Moments. I got so excited about finding another Mystery Bag Princess that my brain cells went into overdrive.

Most of the Dakotas have classic names from the American West, like Rider, Ranger, Fargo, Cassidy, Lariat, Plains, and Cartwright. And if there was a Cassidy Bag, there should be a Sundance, after all, where would Butch have been without the Sundance Kid, right? So I'm just correcting Coach's oversight.

And just because there can never be too much of those two...

ETA - Oh, you want to see the BAG? Sorry, I seem to have gotten distracted for a moment. :girlsigh:

I'm pretty sure the style number would have been 4202
