Please follow the following requests:

• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Front of item
• Back of item
• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

I think it means a copy of another listing. The seller has another Not for sale listing of the same bag.

I've seen them do it for extra pictures. I assume the picture limit isn't enough. I've never listed there so I am unfamiliar with how it works.

Question for Poshmark users: What does it mean when sellers list something as "COPY - ....."?

I always assumed it meant that they were admitting an item to be counterfeit but clearly, that's not what it means.

Anyone know?

I think it means a copy of another listing. The seller has another Not for sale listing of the same bag.

The seller said the original listing wasn't getting much attention so she made another one just recently. I don't like that idea but it worked. Not sure how long she had the original up though.

If you wanna re-list the item to bump it back to the top of the “just in” section on posh, you can go into the listing and click “copy listing” & it will recreate the same listing for you as if you just created it with “COPY” in the title. Your listing has to be atleast 2 months old before you can do a copy listing & bump it back to the top of the “just in” section. They changed it to combat the sellers abusing the feature by doing too many copy listings. Hope that made sense

I wasn’t aware of this feature and though it would be easier than deactivating the old one and make a new one, the Copy throws people off. I thought the seller intentionally knew she was selling a fake and letting potential buyers know.

I wasn’t aware of this feature and though it would be easier than deactivating the old one and make a new one, the Copy throws people off. I thought the seller intentionally knew she was selling a fake and letting potential buyers know.

You can remove it from the title by editing the listing. I usually use the feature for my listings that have sat around for a while because Im too lazy to delete & create a new listing. I just re-edit the title so it stops showing “copy” in it

eta: since it creates a new listing, when you delete the old one, you lose all the “likes” you had on the item, just an fyi

I messaged the seller to reach out if the sale fell through. The person who accepted was international, so their card was declined!
