Is this red Vintage Coach Wallet real? It feels real to me but I can't seem to find any type of style number or name for it. TIA!

It looks good to me. I'll try and find a number for it but earlier styles sometimes aren't easy to ID. Catalog pics are small and don't show much detail.

ETA - It could be a 4859 Combination Wallet Checkbook from the middle to late 1990s. The checkbook cover is missing.

It's authentic. It is 4730 combination wallet/checkbook. Obviously yours is missing the checkbook. It was made after 1993 or so.

ETA: not sure if there is any difference between 4730 and 4859.

The 4730 has an exposed snap button, it's a concealed button on the 4859. Other than that I think they're almost the same.

My notes on 4730 is that the button became concealed after 1993. I had no idea the style number also changed.

I think they change style numbers whenever there's a noticeable physical change in the style. If they just fiddle with things like strap length the style number usually stays the same. The newer style 4859 had the concealed snap and a pen holder loop in the checkbook holder according to what's in the catalog pics.

The last catalog I have with a 4730 is late 1993. By Holiday Preview 1994 it had already been replaced by the 4859.

Thanks, I'll make a note of it.
