That particular bag is authentic but the seller sells on other venues too and has a mix of fakes and authentic items.

The following bags (from seller SamiranaTreasures on Etsy) are fake:

Another: https://www.etsy.com/listing/780177497/vtg-coach-brown-shoulder-bag?ref=shop_home_active_35&frs=1
And Another: https://www.etsy.com/listing/777162...-in-red-vintage?ref=shop_home_active_42&frs=1

This is the seller
Ana C Longoria on Mercari -

There are at least 2 ebay IDs also, one of which is no longer selling Coach.

Call me suspicious but some listings on various sites purposely don't show creeds, thereby making authentication difficult if not impossible to authenticate.

There are probably more fakes but I didn't go through all listings on all sites.

Thanks BeenBurned for checking the bag and looking into the background on the seller. Should I let her know about the fakes? I’m communicating with her and she is very responsive.

This one is from my Goodwill.
Measurements are approx 9Wx5H
It's authentic, not sure about the name.

It's a Small Legacy Soft Flap fom 2005. I owned the larger Legacy Soft Flap 9570 in at least 3 different colors. Lovely soft lightweight smooshable leather too. (Just checked, 5 different colors in smooth leather plus 2 in suede, and I still have several of them). The 2-way strap is a nice feature too.

Hello! I’m new here and trying to get details on a couple of my Coach bags- I am the original owner of both purses, and I’ve had them in my closet for many many years!! I know that they are authentic, I just don’t know the style names of either bag. I’m trying to streamline my collection, so planned to put these two up for sale, but it’s hard to know how to price them without knowing the style name to do some research. I have searched everywhere for information on them, and find styles that are CLOSE— but not exactly the same. I know they are authentic, as my parents bought them for me while on buying trips in NYC for their clothing stores and would likely have purchased as Sak’s or Lord & Taylor.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Both are authentic and from the early 90s. It is difficult to ID them without measurements. The brown might be a ranch bag and the black a Crosby, but that is just my guess.

Please read the "READ ME" post at the top of every page. We require measurements for vintage bags (20 years old or older) especially when asked to identify them. Coach made many similar styles and often measurements (length or width side to side x height top to bottom without the strap x depth front to back) are the only way to narrow the style down.

Both appear to be genuine but that's as far as I can go, especially on the first one, without measurements.

Hello! Can you please take a look at these two Coach bags and let me know if they are authentic? First one is a tan hobo bag and the other is a black leather handbag.

Thank you for helping me understand the rules of the forum. So much info, and lots to absorb for a newcomer, so I appreciate your guidance.

The dark brown bag is 11.5” wide by 9” high and about 3” deep (maybe more).
The dark green bag is 12.5” wide at the base and 10.5” wide at the top, 9” high and 4-4.5” deep.

Hello! I just found a bag I like on Mercari Japan and was wondering if anyone could authenticate it for me please?
