Woops, Here is the link for 2bluethumbs. Is this pouch dyed red? https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-VINT...SE-BLACK-INTERIOR-REHABBED-CLEAN/233410795174
Did the seller dye it this with something? When they say "rehab" does that mean they may polish it with something or am I misunderstanding. Because it is really bright.
It is authentic. I believe this seller means she uses leather products and conditioners, not polish or dye, but you could ask her to be sure. Red is the original color. The type of leather and dyes Coach used in the 70s and 80s had staying power; I'm not surprised it looks as good as it does.

My last request of the night, thank you all for your invaluable assistance. I am trying to find out the style name of this bag so that I can find one in a light color. This is an example of the style I am looking for by seller jemfinds https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Coach-Black-Double-Strap-Bag-2827-5f6c229f7f80d2f55a9fb86a
Would this be from the 70's or 80's? When I search the name of the listing it shows a variety of crescent bags.

It's from the early 90s. It's called a small swinger, #4080. There was also a larger size, #4040. These styles will have made in the United States (or made in U.S.A.) creeds with unique serial numbers. The style number won't be in the creed. I doubt many sellers know the correct name or style number.

Hey, looking for opinions on whether or not this purse is authentic or a fake. Let me know if additional photos or information is needed.

Item: Coach Brown Leather Chester Canteen (I think? It's what came up when I did some googling)

Where purchased or how obtained: Bought at a thrift store (St. Vincent De Paul?) more than a decade ago. I think it was pretty cheap, like $5.

Comments: If you can't read it, the code on the inside is B4C 9901
I don't know much about leather, but the back of the inside of the purse, and inside the inner pocket feel like the inside of real leather belts I felt at a leather shop once (ones that didn't have like a "finished" type of underside, if I'm making sense). The front of the inside (where the stamped code is) feels like the outside of the purse. (Basically, I think it's real leather)

Dimensions: Appears to be about 7 1/2 to 8 inches tall, about 9 inches wide at the widest part of the purse, 2 1/2 inches thick measured at the bottom when resting normally (when stretched to full thickness it's 3 inches). Honestly I measured a few different times, and I'm not sure they're 100% precise because of the way the bag bends, the tape measure bends, straightness etc. Strap seems to be about 52 inches long (measuring the whole strap, or 26 inches hanging down from where it would rest on your shoulder). EDIT: Just realized the strap is adjustable, not sure where it is supposed to be positioned for measuring.

Thank you for any help you can give me on figuring out this bag. I remember picking it out with my (late) mom when I was 13 or maybe younger. It holds a special place in my heart. It would be fun to know if it's real or not.
