Ok y’all, I know this should be in the rehab forum but I wanted to follow-up on the City saga. This morning, I cut that horribly botched strap off the bag and then decided to experiment with replacing hardware for the first time, which I’ve never done out of fear. Me-a surgeon!! LOL! And it was so easy! I cleaned and polished everything, then used it to replace the turnlock on my $10 green Logan. It’s always been wonky and didn’t work so I never reached for it. Now it looks great and I’m using it today. I dropped the bag off at Goodwill with hopes that someone will use the beautiful leather for something. Thank you to everyone for your advice about the return-I appreciate you all, as usual. I know you all were right and I had a SNAD case if I wanted to pursue it. But, something about doing that felt icky to me, and I didn't do it. I just ate the cost, learned a lesson and gave the seller a little grace. Maybe I’ll need some one day...View attachment 4842904
The fix looks fabulous! And I think you are a gem!

Dear authenticators, request to authenticate please. Thank you!
Item: Carousel
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: Leather is nice and soft and thick like my other authenticated Coach. Hardware appears to be same as on the other authenticated Coach bags. Stitching is nice and even. There is a number embossed on the bottom of the bag; 28.1. The creed is soooo faint, I tried to get the best photo I could possibly take. The leather pulls, both the main compartment and the little pocket inside do not seem like Coach. The dimensions are about 9" height, 9" width and 3" depth. I need your expert advice please. Thank you!

The zipper pulls AREN'T Coach. you should have listened to that warning voice inside your head. Faint and unreadable creeds are also a bad sign. The strap attachments are also completely wrong for that style.

I hope you can get your money back. I don't know the laws in NZ covering the sale of counterfeits, but they're probably similar to the US. Here in the States it's not just illegal but it's actually a felony.

Genuine, probably a Bradley Bucket from around 1993, style 9936.

Check and see if the bag matches the seller's description or the actual bag, there isn't a lot of information in the listing.
