Hi,

I am not too sure how to use this but I have recently bought a coach purse from depop as they no longer sold this in store. But I am a bit wary incase it is fake. The seller has relisted the exact same purse and the exact same tag which seems a bit weird for me. Would like some help please

Good morning authenticators, I am bringing this listing to your attention as I intend to report it if you recommend I do so. The listing is for a Lindsay, but the creed photo appears to say it is for a bean bag and I believe the serial number is incorrect. Could you please confirm one way or the other? Thanks so much!

Item: Lindsay

Ebay listing link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coach-Lindsay-Bag-Crossbody-No-9888-Black/184337847936?_trkparms=aid=555021&algo=PL.SIMRVI&ao=1&asc=20190711100440&meid=a5c68dc696e54fc391031d329cfc2bd2&pid=100752&rk=2&rkt=17&mehot=pf&sd=264332195333&itm=184337847936&pmt=1&noa=0&pg=2047675&algv=SimplRVIAMLv5WebWithPLRVIOnTopCombiner&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982

Seller: elynn96

Listing number: 184337847936

(I have tried to make the creed clearer for you)

Please read "THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE COACH BEAN BAG" which is an addition to the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List" Pinned to the top of this forum's pages:

In fact you should really read ALL of the Salearea Guides thread that it's part of.

Then after reading the parts on creeds and serial numbers, you can see whether or not "the serial number is incorrect". There are dozens of commonly-asked questions that I've answered right in those Guides.

Meanwhile, please DO NOT report it.

ETA - By the way, please don't feel like I'm singling you out by recommending that you read the Guides. Sooner or later I smack just about every poster here with the same recommendation, because many of the same questions that have asked by literally hundreds of posters here have been explained or answered right in the Guides. That's one of the reasons I researched and wrote them. They're corrected farther on in the thread if needed, and you'll have the dubious honor of reading what's probably the most accurate Coach guide of its kind on the internet.

So by reading them and knowing where to find them this early in your Coach experience, you'll be saving yourself the frustration of trying to figure out a problem, and the authenticators will be adding a few extra minutes to our lives by not having to type out the same answer to a question they've already been asked and have answered dozens of times. You'll have dozens and dozens of answers right at your fingertips, and I'll have time to enjoy another cup of tea. Everybody wins!

(You can thank me later. Or not, depending on your patience and sense of humor, both which are sometimes needed when dealing with me. "Twisted" senses of humor are sometimes helpful here.:giggle: )

That WHAT was possible? That I could still find more to add after those first few paragraphs? Heck, yes, I'll sometimes be adding to a post up until the 60-minute Edit window closes. Either my brain refuses to shut down, or I've just worked my way through a 30 ounce mug of Lavazza Dark Roast.

Sorry, I'm not sure if that answered your question?

Bloody browser keeps reloading... argh.

Please be patient, we're short-handed and not all of us are comfortable or familiar with newer highly-faked styles. And the Disney lines are some of the most highly-faked styles of all.

ETA - ALSO after comparing yours and the Ebay UK listing, I don't believe the creed shown with the Mini Skinny listing is actually from that item. The creed photo looks like it's too big to be a Mini Skinny. It looks like the inside of a wallet like yours, the opening is much too wide for a Mini.. And look at the price tag, it has a DIFFERENT style number 37536 instead of the 37537 on the one with your wallet. The tag also describes a Mini Skinny rather than a wallet. Somehow either accidently or deliberately a Wallet creed photo ended up in the Ebay UK listing for a Mini Skinny.

NONE of that proves whether one or the other is genuine or fake, please understand that. I have no experience with newer styles and no photo files to refer to so as I said, please wait for someone who does.

But I DID find a few other Mini Skinny items, here's one with a photo that shows the considerable differences not just in the size of the top opening compared to your wallet (the Mini Skinny is described as 11 cm across) but also in the inside fabric trim that's all fabric and doesn't have a strip of leather with the Coach name stamped on it. There's also a brass ring and chain for the keyring that's mounted very close to the creed patch in the Mini. So that Mini Skinny listing you're comparing yours to has a creed photo belonging to a different item.

Thank you for your reply, I have the wallet version. I just came across this one and was wondering why the numbers were the exact same. I cant find much information on the long wallet/purse one. I asked the seller for a receipt and they weren't able to provide one. That's no worries. Thank you for your input!
