For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

You can't find it because it's a complete fake. There's nothing about it that's right for a genuine Coach. Did you read the creed patch inside the bag? It says it's made from genuine cowhide. Not only is the bag NOT made of cowhide, but as you can see from the cracking on the bottom, even the leather-looking parts are made of cheap vinyl. Leather doesn't crack like that. It's not even worth the 12 dollars shown on the price tag. Where and when did you buy it?

Please note that in the forum thread Rules, we require the url link from where the item was purchased. If you can supply that, we may be able to tell you how to get your money back. That counterfeit is illegal to sell or trade in most of the countries on this planet because it violates almost every country's anti-counterfeiting laws. Selling it in the USA is a felony.

Thank you SO much! I bought it at a consignment store called Plato’s Closet in Knoxville, TN. How should I go about trying to return it/get my money back? They usually don’t take returns. Their website is platoscloset.com

Generally, a no-return policy goes out the window when an item is illegal and selling a fake is against the law whether they knew it was fake or not or whether or not they're aware that it's against the law. (Also, claiming "not selling as authentic" doesn't matter either.)

If they claim ignorance, that's irrelevant. It's a seller's responsibiility, whether online or at a B&M store (even charity thrifts) to verify authenticity and legality of any item. (This isn't to imply that all stores abide by the law; just saying that having sold a fake, THEY were wrong and should take the return.)

Thank you again!!

Any way to tell if this is authentic without a full picture of the creed? I see a couple of strange things about the hardware but am not familiar enough to know of those are just because it’s an older generation of stewardess. Thanks for the input,

Item: nyc coach stewardess
Seller tristan1996 on eBay

Did you happen to save the name of the seller? (Remember to include that with all requests.)

The buyer will get an email telling her that the listing was removed but she won't know that the item is fake. Email will say something to the effect of "some type of violation and if you have already paid, item will be shipped." If the seller is dishonest and if the buyer asks, seller may not admit to non-authenticity so the buyer won't know to open a dispute.
I'm sorry. The seller's name was in the listing in the link, but the link isn't active now. Did anyone else save it?
That is strange that ebay will remove it but won't warn the buyer not to accept the counterfeit.

No, there is no way to tell. I've seen those flat buckles on authentic bags.

Hi authenticators, I wanted to have this one checked. The green bottom part is suede and looks the same as other ones I googled and found, but I have a few other different fruit slices with the silver chain (eg lemon, grapefruit) and the bottoms are not suede. Was this one different? Thanks so much!

Item: apple fruit slice coin purse

Comment: Please let me know if the creed isn't clear enough and I'll request a picture or post once in hand.

Thank you so much!
I think it's okay, made in 1997 but if you have questions or want reassurance, you can request a better picture or take one later.

Hi, I am new to this forum and upon receiving my Moms vintage 80's coach bags which I love, are now interested in purchasing some older styles. I am jumping into the deep-end here and would love to know if this Courier bag I am eyeing is authentic. Also this companion bag I just purchased. Thanks for your help! https://www.ebay.com/itm/392902591763. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NICE-COACH-CLASSIC-BRITISH-TAN-LEATHER-SHOULDER-CROSS-BODY-2153-USA/254674843201?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648
Welcome!

Both bags you've asked about are fine.

For future requests, please refer to the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page for the format and info we need for requests.
