Yep, the seller says "The hardware where you attach the hook was cut by it’s owner to keep the hook in place(pic #11)" but really, how much would the strap clip really move around anyway? It's not as if the D-ring is 2 inches wide where the clips are going to be sliding all over the place. It just seems like a foolish and problematic thing to do. And why would anyone want what are probably 2 pieces of sharp-edged metal hardware on a handbag?

It just doesn't make any sense at all to me.

Here's a photo from the listing.

Thank you Beenburned and Hyacinth. There is no way I’d buy that bag with the compromised D rings. Apart from both being off-centered, there was absolutely no need to cut deep grooves to prevent movement of the strap’s dog leash clips. It’s insane. Besides, the hooks are not even a straight edge!! Really weird, and the leftover thin metal hooks are so compromised that eventually the hooks will break from the bag and its contents’ weight.

genuine Court bag from 1994. I'm concerned about those deep cut-outs on the D-rings for the strap though. I don't remember ever seeing those on a Court Bag, and not only would they seem to weaken the ring and scratch the he11 out of the strap clips, but at least one of the cutouts to stabilize the strap clips doesn't even seem to be centered correctly. It's mentioned in the description but something like that would turn me off completely. Take a look at the very last combination photo and you'll see what I mean.
OMG! I didn't even notice that. I was too busy looking at the bag itself and the creed.

WTF would someone do that?!?!?!

It gets worse! Apparently, it's Agnes who thinks this is a good thing to do to her bags or she has multiple listings for the same bag!

She has other listings for bags that were essentially ruined by doing that!

and this one with the same pictures: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m27822219589/

This listing has at least one bag that's fake (with a misspelling on the creed) and the other bag with what looks like a zipper pull that was replaced by one seen on Korean fakes:

I've seen more than one with the rings cut in the rehab club.

Please authenticate when you have time. Thanks!

Item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Vint...dy-Satchel-Bag-Turn-Lock-Closure/224100150146
Seller: dorce-jeanb
That bag can't be authenticated because she (purposely?) either blurs or takes crappy pictures of creeds. Another problem with dorce-jeanb is that she ignores requests for clear creed pictures when asked.

The seller DOES have a history and that history is on TWO IDs, dorce-jeanb and paufor_iws9tf. Both have listed fakes and neither often show adequate pictures needed for authenticating the items.

These are some of the previous posts:

I'm interested in whether you get a response if you request a clear creed picture!

I think this is a desireable style, and I expect the bidding to go much higher soon, unfortunately, as it ends in just over an hour.

I thought the background looked familiar to another one I had questioned a while ago. Thanks for the quick response.

I think I'd have to advice anyone interested in a "Coach" product sold by "Agnes" at mercari to find another seller.

And for the life of me, I don't understand why anyone would think they can improve a Coach by damaging it. Between this useless and foolish destruction of the hardware, along with other modifications by other sellers such as the one who removes the original stitching on many bags' flaps and front panels and replaces it with uneven and lopsided white topstitching, they're turning Coaches into Roaches. In fact, I'm going to make that my new name for a Coach that was "improved" by a seller to the point of seriously damaging or just plain ruining it, just like people who don't know when to stop with the plastic surgery. Maybe calling it a "Jocelyn Wildenstein" or "Donatella Versace" (Google the names for photos or check out the link) would get the point across but a one-word description seems easier.
