Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me authenticate this made it Italy bag? I'm a little concerned about the 'solid brass' engraved on the strap. Is this normal for this bags? Thankyou

There's no way to prove or even know that it's actually a Coach. Not only aren't there any stamps, according to the seller, but I see several problems both in the construction details as well as a possible strap modification. The strap I can see in the photos was NOT made by Coach and the end that goes through the buckle looks like it's been cut.

Personally I would NOT recommend buying that bag, especially with the lousy additional photos. I'd want to see the inside close to the flap for any kind of Coach stamping, and also the ends of the strap. A photo of the back plate of the turnlock, the piece with the prongs, would also be needed.

Just to add - it also doesn't look like any 1970s style that I'm familiar with or that's in any of my catalogs or sale pamphlets. Any genuine Coach with that design would be from the 1980s and should have a creed stamp, and should NOT have that strap.

Do NOT buy that bag.
