Dear Authenticators,
Could you kindly have a look at this tiny bag? In my possession, purchased from a thrift shop for $10. The dimensions are 7”x6.5”x3”. The strap drop is 5”. It has a black metal Bonnie Cashin tag, but no other label.

Hello, could you please authenticate this NYC Rambler, the listing photos are very blurry, seller sent me a creed photo was not readable either. I have already received the bag now. Additional photos attached. Measurement: 11.5"*8"*5", strap 43". Thanks.
Seller: camcrazy
Gorgeous and a fantastic price!

Hi! Would you mind taking a look a these bags? Just trying to be cautious on poshmark. Thanks so much

2.Dinky?

3. Pocket?

Do you know if Coach ever made a Willis in this color? I have never seen one but have read some of the threads here that some of the older bags have been made in a pool blue. I have requested a better photo of the creed. You all are so much more educated in spotting fakes. I was thinking it cannot be authentic but thought I would run it by you all. Thanks!

That's a rough year for figuring out D plant serials, but this one's fake.

There was another 2000 D plant serial that we looked at a while back in the same shade of blue but a different style, and although it's hard to compare when a creed photo is upside down, they both look the same.

Here's the questionable Willis. Take a good close look at the listing pics and note the color loss from all over the bag including the side seams which hardly ever happens. Note also the padding above the turnlock is the wrong shape:

and here's the creed from another bag, same color. Compare the creeds (note the heavy serifs on the N in "No" and look at the turnlock.

If you notice any other tPFers looking at that Willis, please warn them that it's fake and point them to this post.

ETA - the serial number fonts of real and fake bags from the 2000 D plant can be incredibly close, it really needs a good complete set of comps to be able to tell the difference. But the overly large serifs on the N combined with the details of the "o" next to it should be a red flag. I wish we had a clear photo of the back of the turnlock.

Thanks so much Hyacinth - I was hoping for a rare color but it just seemed "off" to me. Would definitely love to get a look at a legit pool blue I have heard about :)

The first two are genuine. But I'm concerned about the third. The underline in "No" seems too large and so does the hyphen between the two parts of the serial number. We really need a better creed photo. More opinions are welcome.

It's not that the color is "off" but it's off for the year that the bag is claiming to have been made. That's why it's so important to know what to look at and all parts of the item to evaluate authenticity. And it's also why those who claim that Coach "authenticated" a serial number over the phone are FOS.

In the following post, I was looking for the "official" color of my Willis from 2005. I was never able to confirm the color.

So glad to have you guys to check bags for me. The bag sold right after Hyacinth responded it was fake. Love the color of yours - never realized that color was available - it’s beautiful!
