We're no longer giving too much information for several reasons. One reason is that we don't want to help the counterfeiters to make better fakes although with very expensive (LV, Hermes, Chanel) items, they've been known to purchase a genuine item to copy.

Another reason I don't want to offer too much info is that often, dishonest sellers will hide, disguise or blur the telltale signs in their listings or pictures.

And a third reason I am reluctant to offer much more info is that it has come to our attention that some of what we disclose here is used in private groups, sometimes used against us and in many cases, without giving us the credit for having done the research.

What I'll say about this bag is that there's a discrepancy between the creed/serial number and the Made In tag. There's another problem with the hang tag. There are other problems too.

Rather than being careful with the seller, I wouldn't recommend buying from that seller.

When you say, "how about the factory outlet," if you go to the outlet store or to Coach's OWN outlet website, you WILL get authentic items. But be aware that there are sites that sell fakes but look a lot like Coach. Some of the sites also use Coach's stock images as their own, implying that's what you will get.

For Pete's sake, can't sellers spend a dollar or two and buy a bloody RULER?

1- genuine, probably a Slim Zip Bag from the early 1990s Lightweight line, style 4018. It would have been nice if the seller had taken 60 seconds to measure it.

2- genuine, but while THIS seller seems to have posted measurements, the numbers in the listing and the bag's details don't match anything in my catalogs. Which means that what looks like a Dinky and has the apparent proportions of a Dinky and the pocket layout of a Dinky and the tubular strap of a Dinky probably IS a bloomin' Dinky, and the seller's "measurements" are an inch off in the height and TWO inches off in the length. So unless you're actually looking for a 9 by 6-inch Dinky, you may want to keep looking. Or ask the seller to measure it using a ruler.

I can't think of any Coach that was 11 inches long (the measurement in the listing) that had a skinnny sewn-on tubular strap and no seams at all on the bottom panel (which is a single piece of leather that wraps around the sides and bottom of the bag) either.

Just received this bag and whats throwing me off is the zipper is very gold and theres no ykk stamped on it
and it doesn’t zip as smoothly. Wondering if maybe the bag is authentic but zipper was replaced?
