Her description is an authenticity disclaimer of sorts, illegal and disallowed by Mercari (and every other site) although many sites don't act on reports.

The bag may be authentic but you'll need to request a picture of the white label/tag that's probably hidden inside an interior pocket. She may have to pull the pocket inside out to find and photograph it.
So...she checked the pockets and she only found a tag that says Made in Vietnam.

Hi all!

Please authenticate, if possible, based upon the 4 photos shown in this auction. From what I can see, this appears to be style #9965, Legacy Small Flap? Yesterday I asked for a better, complete creed photo, but haven't received it yet.

Thanks much!

Sorry, I'm not comfortable authenticating it without a full creed and serial photo. Even with only a partial photo of those details and NO measurements at all to indicate what style it might be, I'm seeing a discrepancy between the serial number 070-3235 the seller quoted in the listing title and the format and wording of the creed stamp. Either the serial number is substantially different than what she claims, or it's fake. There should be a combination of letters and numbers in the serial number for it to agree with that creed wording. Also a bag that color should be recent enough to have the style number as part of the serial number. and -3235 doesn't match any bag in my files. It couldn't possibly be mistaken for -9965 either. ALL style -9965 Legacy Small Flap Bags would have had the style number in the serial number as well since the style wasn't even introduced until 1997.

Hello! First timer here and I apologize if I'm doing this wrong. I would appreciate any help! I purchased a bag recently and was hoping if someone could help authenticate it? It's about 15-16 inches long, 10 1/2 inches wide.

Thanks Hyacinth---my biggest concern was the 070-3235 serial number for that 9965 (which I'm guessing at based upon the photos) style of bag.
I appreciate your detailed, thorough analysis and response.

Nope, the made in tag is sewn into the lining. The white label I want is buried inside a pocket, probably at the bottom of the zippered pocket. She needs to reach in, feel around and turn the pocket inside out.
Ok. She finally got back to me and added a picture of the tag!
