Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Front of item

• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

My cousin visited pre-pandemic and left behind this little cosmetic bag along with 2 MAC lipsticks, she told me to keep them because I loved the lip colors and she knows I like "old" coach lol. Anyways here's some pix, I wanted to know if this was authentic? It measures 7.5" x 4.5". AlsoView attachment 4755348View attachment 4755342View attachment 4755341 authenticators, I've seen the ticking in the older wallets, some have creeds and others do not, does that make a difference?
Does the ticking make it authentic, or did they fake that too in the past?

I believe it is fake. Fakes copied everything, including the fabric but the stripes on yours are slightly different.

Thank for confirming that for me. Question, my new hobby is rehabbing vintage coach bags. Due to what is going on, I do not feel comfortable going into thrift or consignment shops at this time. Do you know if anyone on this site is or is willing to sell bags that need to be rehabbed? Just thought I would ask.

Selling on the forum isn't allowed. There are always ebay and similar sites. Many members sell on ebay, Tradesy, Mercari, etc. Most of the people who are in the vintage chat thread sell rehabbed bags. There are some other members that probably sell unrehabbed bags.

Here is a picture of mine. There are other problems with that case, not just the lining. Look at the logo - the A isn't aligned with the other letters. The shape of the case is off too.

Its been a rewarding experience rehabbing these bags but also expensive...and very obsessive.
I always get bags authenticated thru these great authenticators even if I think its ok...Im still learning.

Thanks for the info. I will join you on the Rescue and Rehab, and the vintage Coach thread. You are right, it is an expensive habit but so rewarding. I retired a year ago and I love doing this. I always check with the authenticators ( I have purchased some duds). Not only do these wonderful ladies authenticate my finds, they always add interesting tidbits of info about Coach. There is nothing wrong with this bag. Why do you think it is fake?

ETA: It's not vintage, though, being made in 2004.
