You've got pre-creed fever! It's authentic. Interesting, the flap is finished with smooth leather on the inside. That's really nice. That's a detail they omitted in later versions.

ETA: although it is Bonnie Cashin era, I don't know that this is a Bonnie Cashin style.
yep...gonna set me back a bit more than I want but would like one....did get an offer on it so makes it a bit more attractive..and I think I can fix it.
Oh...what age would that be?...early 70s...?

Yes, early 70s. Did you notice there is no piping? That's one of the reasons the flap is lined. Does your other pre-creed have piping?

yes it has piping...I dont think I need to dunk this one either...think will just condition and polish.
Will be another two and a half weeks before I know for sure.
This one is probably older then. I saw one like this once that looked new. I'm not sure where I got the photo, maybe ebay?

Obviously not a Regina as you noticed. It's not style #9306 either. The seller used the last 4 digits of the serial number, which on this pre-1994 bag don't indicate the style number.

It looks like a Chelsea Bag, #9894 from around 1989:

Thank you Catbird9 for the style info and catalog. You pretty much got an answer for everything...
