Sorry for this long post. After following-up Hyacinth’s comment with one of my own (only because I was absolutely certain that it was a fake because I trust only you and the other authenticators on this thread), it now says that the item is no longer available. Coincidentally, I have a message asking me to give my opinion on reported items! I clicked on it just for s&g. The first listing was a pair of Gucci sunglasses reported as a replica and the second was a wood carving reported as offensive. Thank goodness a “Not sure” option was available because I had no clue! I have no business reporting any items (Gucci, Chanel, Kobe Bryant jersey, etc.), including Coach, that I have little to no expertise authenticating! Why the heck would they ask me?? I can do surgery on your dog’s spleen, but authenticate Chanel??!! No way. And they would accept my opinion!! I’m baffled. Man, what a quality-control systems! Hyacinth, did you receive this message as well?

BB, after posting above, I went back to my PM inbox to see if there was any way that I could respond to the message asking me to be a reviewer. Instead of just griping about it here, I wanted to let them know how ludicrous it was and that I would not be reviewing any items. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a way to message them. There was more information, that I captured in the photos.

ETA Yes, it’s 3AM. I have a little boy with Down syndrome and he gets up in the early morning sometimes.
I've never seen that message about a listing having been flagged as fake!

What I find interesting (and heard in the past) is that Poshmark's report reviewers aren't vetted for knowledge or expertise in the areas in which they're asked to review. And the irony is that a (now-former) Poshmark member named "beenburned" was tagged several times for authenticity opinions and after several verdicts that were disliked by sellers, that member was banned from posting (and I believe from buying too). I can tell you that I have first hand knowledge that she was NEVER asked by Poshmark to offer opinions on flagged items!

There's nothing from them at my contact addy, and if PM has a Messages link I can't seem to find it.

And I'd much rather have a few more dog spleen fixers than Coach authenticators in this world! I don't handle the sight of blood or needles very well and generally avoid all the Vet shows on Animal Planet, but I LOVE the zoo programs. Doctor Priya, The Columbus Zoo staff and the Bronx Zoo crew are amazing!
Thanks! That's so kind. BTW, I'm still blown away that after posting one comment about a bag being a replica, I'm asked to give my opinion on everything from a wood carving to a Chanel bag!

Can anyone give me the name of the third bag in this listing (far right)? GW says it's been authenticated but I'm having a hard time finding one like it anywhere online.

Don't trust Goodwill when they say things have been authenticated. The service they use has a horrible track record. None of those bags can be authenticated. The third bag looks like a Bleecker Riley, possibly 28042.

We just proved that they are not vetted at all! What would qualify me to be an authenticator of all of those brands? Posting one comment on one item? That's crazy! What's even crazier is that I'm neither a very active buyer nor seller on Poshmark. I just took a chance and commented (after Hyacinth's comment was deleted) ONLY because I was 100% certain that it was a fake and didn't want someone to unknowingly buy it. Also, because if y'all say it's fake, it is! I trust you implicitly.

I would have been happy to help (with items I know) had I been asked. In fact, if I could have helped Poshmark be honest and if they ever removed listings, TPF would have one more authenticator who might help promote their listings and sellers. Instead, I refuse to recommend, promote or authenticate for Poshmark. In fact, I often recommend against doing business on that site. There are just too many other sites that are safer for both buyers and sellers.
