I missed out on a prior listing. Please help with authentication on these 2 items:

Item: Vintage Coach pocket purse
Listing number: N/A
Seller: debsw52
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-VINTAGE-RED-LEATHER-POCKET-PURSE-BAG-9755-USA/233197659450
Comments: Listing says strap is from a different bag but matches the color of this bag. Any thoughts on what year this was made?

Item: Vintage Coach Spence, Madison collection
Listing number: N/A
Seller: debsw52
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-...ROSSBODY-SHOULDER-BAG-ITALY-4400/233209517029
Comments: Any thoughts on what year this is from as well? I'd also appreciate any thoughts you all have on this pebbled leather vs the glove tanned leather. I don't have either yet and am hoping to buy my first vintage Coach bag.

Thanks!

The 9755 Pocket Purse looks genuine and was made in 1997.

The Madison Spence also looks OK and was probably made in early 1994. The Madison leather is stiffer than the classic full-grain leather and won't soften up the way the leather on the Pocket Purse will. It's a more structured style, with a dressier look and feel to the leather

Personally, I'd avoid antiqueasher not just based on this bag but on the previous history. My records show at least 4 previous fakes with K3H, J8H and W5Y prefixes as well as a fake with an incorrect but commonly seen wrong font from the "B" plant were listed.
I did search antiqueasher but no result found. When I asked for creed photos after bidding (only noticed the listing this morning), seller emailed back asking if creed is the words stamped inside above the numbers. How could someone being sold bags for a while not knowing what is Coach creed? Doesn't seems right. I will wait and see if he or she email me the required photos.
Thanks BeenBurned

The listings weren't posted here. I found the seller in my own records.

As for the seller not knowing what the creed is, that's not a problem. Many sellers find deals at thrifts, yard sales, etc. and assume they can reap the "reseller rewards." They don't necessarily know about fakes nor what to look for to know whether items are authentic. And they don't know what parts of the item are called.

When listing, they search and look at other sellers' listings to see what they show. They see that leather patch and show it because others post it.

Thank you again Hyacinth (and all the other authenticators)! Your collective expertise and wisdom is impressive and much appreciated!

I just wanted to say thank you again for this thread and all the authenticators. I have now on multiple occasions been able to just search a bag/serial number here to ID a fake (though of course clearly I have now questions to ask). Your time and the information you share is so appreciated!
You're welcome! Please be aware that some fakes have creed numbers that are valid. The font and spacing of the creed plus the details of a bag are important in determining authenticity.

Dear Authenticators
So the seller send me some photos. Please give me your expert opinion, thanks.

Definitely fake, the serial font is much too thick not just for the C plant but for any genuine Coach I can think of except possibly a China plant from the early 2000s

ETA - And if it looks a bit familiar, here's why - our old Always-Fake friend serial prefix K3H. Tell me they weren't made by the same stamp! Even the creed stamps are absolutely IDENTICAL.So is the "No" with the square underscore.

FAKE E8H creed and serial:

Hmmm. The creed pictures you posted that antiqueasher sent don't appear to be from the same bag. I've prepared a side by side collage and there are differences.

Does anyone else believe she's sending creed pics from different bags?

Everything on the left picture looks stretched out. Maybe it is the angle?

She may have a stable of fake black Station bags in her arsenal...

Speaking of which...

Yes, that's the listing. Why wouldn't he remove the listing since it's fake and illegal to sell? Why would he leave it as "not for sale" unless he hopes someone will ask about it and he can sell "off Poshmark."

The same item on Tradesy is no longer active either. I don't know if he ended the listing or whether Tradesy removed it.
This listing is off of Poshmark now, removed by either him or Poshmark. No idea about Tradesy though, I don't shop there myself. He has several items "Not for sale" still listed (I've no idea about their authenticity) so who knows?

I saw that the listings were gone from both. I don't know whether he did it or Tradesy did.
