Oh no, I wouldn't pay that much for shipping. $11.25 seemed reasonable to me. It was shipped from SC. I agree it shouldn't be more than flat rate but I noticed when they go by weight, the longer the distance the more they charge.
Which is why I never use the calculator. I bet the sellers who use it don't realize how many sales they lose because of it. It's probably fine if you live in the center of the country but for people on a coast, the shipping costs can be extreme. If you use the calculator, it is best to offer a flat rate option too.

Hello authenticators,

Could I please get an opinion on this bag?

It's a Swinger Small #4080 from late 1980s Lightweights. The color looks like Blue.

Hello! I found this at my salvation army today and for $6 I figure I'd take a chance (and maybe try my hand at cleaning it up).20200304_202653.jpg20200304_202659.jpg

I completely pulled the lining out and couldn't find a tag anywhere, but I did find this in the inner pocket:

If it turns out being authentic, I'll post a question in the ID thread to find it what it is. Thank you!

Genuine, probably one of the Soho Swingpacks from around 2002-2006. We'll try to find an exact name but if it was made for the Factory Stores like I suspect, that might not be easy.

BTW, when there's no serial number inside a bag, please include measurements.

ETA - Here's the same style in smooth leather, " Soho Leather Swingpack" style 8A13

and here's the suede version, 8A26. No exact name in my files but Coach probably would have just called it a Soho Suede Swingpack

Gotcha, I'm sorry! I'll note about measurements for the future. And this bag is 8.5x8x1 (approx) with a 21" drop length.

I thought that having a bullseye in the creed was a signal that it was a retail bag that was then deleted and sent to be sold at an outlet? Or was I mistaken in that? Sorry! I'm still learning.

The bullseye in bags before 2006 when Coach first started using the "F" in front of the style number could also mean an item specifically made for the Factory Stores.

The 2 styles were made in 2005, which was the only year Coach used a combination of numbers and letters in their style numbers, except for a tiny handful of gift items like keychains. (There may be a few examples in categories like belts, personal accessories, etc. but I don't keep those on file).

Don't waste your time trying to delete a post, that can only be done by the Mods. All you can do is delete the entire contents but you have to have at least one entry in the text box. Many of us will just use a period or that "nm" for "never mind" (which works best when spoken in an Emily Litella voice) that new posters ask about when it's used.

And in case you're not familiar with the Emily Litella reference, you have NO idea what you've missed.
