Item: vintage chocolate brown Willis bag

Seller: linda*s***stuff

Comments: Purchased online and noted that the turnlock was loose upon receipt--with no access to the back as it's sandwiched between 2 pieces of leather. Since some posters suggested it may be fake because of this, I'm posting here. Apologies for the less than stellar pics. Too cold outside to take pics, so settled for camera flash in my bathroom.

It's FAKE. And not the first time that seller has listed a counterfeit. Get your money back, including your shipping costs both ways if she wants you to return it. Returning it doesn't make any sense though since it can't be sold anywhere in the US.

The turnlock back shouldn't be indented in the back under the prongs, and the serial number's plant AND month codes are both invalid. Coach never used "R" as a month code.

Never buy from Ebay seller " linda*s***stuff " unless you have it authenticated here first.

Plus the handle doesn't taper to the sides. How can she say that there is no significant flaws or wear?

Thanks very much for confirming my concerns, Hyacinth!

I see now when I look at my 2 other Coaches that the back of the turnlock opening side do not have indents, as this one does. I find linda*s is very good with returns, so no concerns there. I'll send an email first, though, so they have a heads up that I'll be selecting whatever option points to a fake first. My guess is based on their volume, they don't have the time to check every bag--despite the listing stating verification by My Poupette or whatever it was. I'm guessing they use a template and just change details when they remember to.

Is the tapered handle all that obvious? I ask b/c I'm googling around now out of curiosity and it's hard to tell. Most don't include a top shot of the handle.
It isn't really obvious. The edging on both sides of the handle is supposed to come very close together at the ends and widen in the middle. Most listings don't show a good shot but you should be able to tell now that you have it in your hands.

It's possible My Poupette looked at it but got it wrong. Many of these authentication services authenticate a variety of brands but only are expert in some of them.

"This item has been authenticated by My Poupette, the world's oldest online authentication service!"

My Poupette has made as many Coach mistakes as Entrupy!

I dont know much but I would love to know why she sold it as authentic.
With regard to this, not only should it not have been sold as authentic, Linda (BEING AN ATTORNEY) should know the law and that it's illegal to sell it PERIOD!

Thanks for this! I'm still rarely seeing this during my googling. I note one of my other bags has this taper on the underside of the handle, but not so much on the top. I'll post the creed on this one by tomorrow.

Some time ago after seeing one of Linda's many fakes that claimed to have been authenticated by My Poupette, I emailed them for verification. (Most authentication companies recommend and encourage confirming that they verified authenticity of items. There have been cases of Authenticate4U, Etinceler and Bababebi certificates being forged.)

The reply I got from Angie at MP shocked me. She told me that "if Linda said we authenticated it, we did. We do too many authentications for her to keep track."

Here's another recent purchase.

Comments: I noted the damage, but it all looks fixable to me and I wanted a colour light enough to dye dark purple, so... Apologies again for the poor indoor pics.
